Butchering the anthem - mr.sir
Yeah, and then it's always (frank)ing GI Joe time after, and then a smoke show for the Murica anthem. Tell me you hate Canada without saying you hate Canada. |

I can't believe Glendenning is still playing. Wasn't he 35 like 10 years ago? |

Pretty sure he was a 4th line c 8 years ago that was on his deathbed but babcock would still play him 18 mins a night. |

I don't even know why they do anthems at sporting events. Seems like something they probably started during the war and just never stopped.
I mean every team in the NHL is comprised of Canadian, American, Swedish, Finnish and Russian players - along with a spattering of other nations mixed in there as well.
Should we play all of the anthems? Like no one is playing for their country - it makes no sense.

Anyone: What does Holmberg do well?
To me he's not that fast, he's not deceptive, he's poor with the puck, he's not physical, he doesn't win puck battles, he doesn't seem to have a particularly above average shot . . like I don't get it.

He kills penalties. Defensively responsible. Can take draws. Has size/creates space. Puck battles ok imo. Agreed, though, his offensive game is lacking. He's a "place holder" kind of guy on the roster. If something better comes along, he'll be in the press box. |

I think it's basically so very obvious that he shouldn't be playing in a top-6 role. He's 6'0 / 190 - which is not particularly big, but when you're competing against Nick Robertson, who's 5'9 / 180 . . .
I feel almost like I'd rather see the other Nylander given a shot there but there's a whole lot in his game that I think needs growth, too. Someone needs to muck the puck, even if mostly to create chaos and lose battles that allow JT or Marner to scoop the puck from the edge of the chaos . . .
But yea, I agree that ultimately he's demoted in responsibility or to the press box.
