Forward groups just don't really work as twosomes - like I'm not being an ass about it. The third person is so critical to the chemistry. If you put Domi and Matthews together you need a guy like Knies to be on the wall, be in front, muck it up and win pucks. If you put Marner and Tavares together . . . you probably want Pacioretty to complete that line. If you put Knies and Nylander together, you might be able to get away with a guy like a McMann there - and probably could - but you're missing that one extra top-9 guy to complete the picture in my opinion.
