They have Kent Johnson on the trading block and seem to trade any and all young talent off the roster as soon as they can. The only guy they ever kept and developed was Zach Werenski.

I would be on all of their prospects if I were the Habs.

that's great but that doesn't always mean they'll succeed at the NHL level either. there is a possibility that Jiricek isn't panning out according to what they had projected him to be.

I get your point Pat, but at some point they need to either look at if it's them or the players they draft. Can you name a player Columbus has drafted/developed well other than Rick Nash (overrated) and Werenski? Careers go to die there outside of Bobrovsky.

well yeah, they seem to be drafting/developing poorly, but you were implying Jiricek will actually be a good NHL player, which might not be the case.

Wins vs losses. Goals vs assists. When somebody is so far in their goals vs assists that they are like a Cy Young pitcher who can't lose.

Really thought things would change with Waddell there but maybe it's true that the guys around him in CAR prevented him from giving in to his worst impulses.
