Once the tariffs kick in, that money will be worth more than his regular salary.

All good, we are just having fun here.

I agree about Barron, he might just need a change of scenery. But then again, we said the same thing about Kovacevic and he has turned into one of the best all-round defencemen in the NHL so far this year.

Will be interesting to see who / how they move on, when trying to integrate new players into the lineup.

- Mashadar

Well he was rocked, then when he was ready to go / comeback he was benched for what 7 games ? At a time when a youngser need to play...

I dont agree at All Mailloux is a better option for this year ( but I think he will be good in 2/3 years) Mailloux looked Awful when last called back

Mailloux needs to play big minutes in Laval imho, his development should be fine under Pascal Vincent, but whether he's NHL material or not will be up to him in the end.

I think Mailloux can be better than what he showed in the 5 games he got this season. He's obviously way more confident playing in Lavla than he is in the NHL.

Offensively, he's already loads better than Barron. He's more physical and, with time, should become a very good defenseman if he can manage to stay focused in the defensive zone.

Except the Jets.

(frank) they have been on fire since the start of the season. Carolina (even with their goalie injuries) and Minny not far behind.

Top teams are feasting on the others right now.

I wonder what the exact stats are about president trophy winners VS stanley cup winners, but I think the odds are if they do continue having such a great season they won't be going all the way through in the playoffs...

They will cool off, at some point, but they look like a good "team" (ie: whole much better than the parts).

That PLD trade worked out amazingly for them, too.

Good on them and their fans, enjoy the ride.

yeah, I wouldn't even mind if they became the next Canadian team to win the cup, and if Scheifele can somehow get his face bashed in during the process it'll be a win-win.

Cup wining goal deflected off his face, from a Morrisey slapshop would do.

Bergevin was invited by Weber to his recent Hockey Hall of Fame induction, which was special for him.

“I’m glad that I went,” Bergevin said. “I told him, ‘I’m honored you’re asking me to go.’ And he said, ‘Berg, I want you to be there.’ That meant a lot to me.”
