it's free if you go to a state inspection station. but they close at 4. i pay like 60 bucks to have it done at a mechanic near work. |

yeah it isn't the same in the states, I was surprised to learn they're more strict on this type of thing and even have annual inspections lol...
in QC didn't they already changed the date a few years ago from Nov. 15th to Dec. 1st or something?

It's like that in the UK as well and yup you have to pay for it. and if your car is no longer deemed safe they just take it from you there and then...very weird lol

ok, doesn't sound too bad.

it's a lot easier than it used to be. they used to test a lot more things. it took longer, so the lines were longer, etc. and if you failed you got a red sticker and 30 days to get it fixed to where it passes. the red sticker was so the cops knew to check if you're beyond your 30 days.
now they check less things. they might be checking off more boxes, but i'm pretty sure the mechanic i go to just tests the emissions. they usually have it all done in 5 minutes. |

Well, hopefully we can get some stable top 2 lines and more depth in the 3rd and 4th.
Will be interesting to see where they start him and how they ease him into the lineup.
