We don’t have the draft picks they got. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and prospect

Id have traded Othmann for him

What can ya do at least he went west. Cbj made a mistake trading him. Why they didn’t just let him play is silly, they aren’t contenders. Supposedly he struggled with positioning

Othman has little value to other teams. He has been hurt all year and hasn’t proven he is nhl ready

He's gonna be a good example of why fans and GMs shouldn't fall in love with their own prospects

Thanks for the confidence boost.

He was off to a terrific start this year, 5 pts in 3 games.

They also went 0 for 38 without him on the power play when he got hurt but were 6 for 20 in the 3 games he played. He stinks tho, right? /sarcasm

I mean he almost made the team out of camp, so not sure where dawg is coming from

I just looked it up, said 4-6 weeks injury so it should be soon that he comes back. I guess it was a shoulder injury? Idk

I remember the one game he played at home, I think Mtl, and he looked great and then they didn’t play him again basically (for 2 games) and then got sent down. It was a total buzzkill.

He’s still highly regarded by me

I think we need to take a step back and realize we have a lot of youth here already, or almost ready, and eventually coming.. where if you look through the forest through the trees it isn’t all that bad. Sure the older core may be nearing the end without much to show for it, but we’re not in bad shape by any means. We need to keep Shesty to be the foundation for all that youth. This is why I praise Drury he’s kept all of this youth when he’s made these “awful” decisions. So he gave up picks, big freakin deal he was trying to win with this core who has consistently let him down

This is why I’d prefer to keep Drury and Lavy. Those kids need stability. They certainly don’t need new coaches and new front offices every 3 freakin years. Firing anyone would be a terrible knee jerk reaction to a few bad weeks. There is plenty of time to fix whatever this season has started out as.

The defense is where they really need to focus on, and especially why Shesty needs to get every penny he wants

Originally 4-6 weeks (would have been end of Nov-middle of Dec) but now they’re saying not back until after the new year. Looking more like an 8 week+ injury whatever it was.

I don’t think this is too much to worry about. Guys get hurt. But that makes sense why he wouldn’t have been traded for Jiricek lol I didn’t realize he was still out

I think if the team fails this year that everyone will be willing to get the hell out of town because it’ll be a nightmare for them playing here. Basing that off a culmination of seasons ending in disappointment.

And at that point you could give me a bag of pucks for them and I wouldn’t give two (frank)s. They’d all be dead to me. Just get me a team 25 and under and give them a shot

Having a firesale might be the only way to maybe get Mika to waive that NMC.

I keep thinking Ottawa
Imagine this lol

Zib and Fox

Tkachuk (or Norris more likely) and Chabot

You think there’s any chance they asked Mika to waive his clauses? And why he’s struggling so bad. What else would explain the decline

Ottawa is really struggling too

Out of the 4 whipping boys this year in Mika Miller Trouba Lindgren, Mika is most surprising.

Miller always was inconsistent. Had the tools but always made you want more. Always liked Lindgren but you knew he’d age like Cally. Trouba was never really good and had one good year on the jets

Now with zib he was always reliant on the PP but still a low end 1c. He doesn’t even look like a top 6 player anymore. He’s only 31 too. Just a really fast and sharp decline I didn’t expect

Father Time. It hits everyone at different times, but eventually catches up to everyone. He’s 31 now, the decline should be happening, but not at the pace it’s happening at for him.

I know it’s drastic but I would swap positions and he has to be ok with that at least. He might be a good RW shooter/sniper. Let Kakko play center. It’s clear he isn’t a legit defensive center anymore. His offensive skills are still in there imo
