The goodrow thing is so overblown you guys. Everyone understands it's a business and that his time was coming to an end for cap crunch reasons. Sure, maybe it could have been handled slightly better, but result would have been the same.
This team blows because our players and coaching are both subpar, but more than anything it's because our core players aren't good enough anymore. I'm pro scorched earth. Let's retool this bad boy again. - t-dawg
Agreed, this isn’t bc of Barclay Goodrow. Something’s rotten in the locker room, and it’s not bc Barclay Goodrow isn’t here. |

I just mean his voice in the locker room. We all understand the business side of it all, just saying maybe his voice was important to the fabric of this team.
Scorched earth and all, there's really not much we can do. DJ Mika aint going anywhere. Fortunately Trouba is now on a NTC but were not getting anything back that will help us. Miller, who knows, same with Lindgren. Just seems like we've become a team full of passenger's and no drivers. |

It just feels like the leadership of the team has kinda checked out... and Im not sure that the young kids we have here got the gusto to step in and look those veterans in the face and call them out. |

I'd strongly consider moving shesterkin personally. Obviously, depending on what the trade market would fetch for us, since a trade of a star goalie is so unprecedented. I get that it sets us back from cup contention in the near term, but we need a new formula for success in this org. I feel strongly that the lack of patience of the fanbase, owner, and MSG corp negatively impacts our chances of winning a championship. |

If he doesn’t agree to a contract before the deadline you almost have to trade him. Can’t afford to let him walk for free. Would set this franchise back for years |

If we dont, at the core of our beliefs, think that we have a championship squad here, tough decisions need to be made. Trading Shesterkin cannot be ruled out. The question is what do we get in return? Trading Shesty and Trouba, could open the door for Zib to potentially waive his NMC.
Its crazy to think about but Quick has played so well in spots that maybe we could milk one more year out of him in a 50/50 time share with another goalie. |

My God, this is frustrating.
I hate it even more when a game like this happens against the Flyers!!
We have no idea how to defend, in any scenario. |

I always wanted to keep Igor. He was never worth resetting the market for if you look just at his numbers. Great post season. But avg-good regular season. Good underlying numbers but he’s not hasek consistency. He’s not Hank either
The leadership in the room is off. Something happened there big time |

I don’t like small players, but if we do have a small player, I have no issues with the way he plays. Doesn’t back down and doesn’t play soft. Reminds me of Zucc a bit. |

You need 1 or 2 pesky guys like him on a team. They end up drawing penalties because of it. |

Because of how much faster the game has gotten, we might see more smaller players in the league. |
