I'd be fine with 8m for a goaltending duo. If Demko could be held to 50 or less games in the regular season, he likely doesn't get as injured, he hit 51 games last year, but missed time to injury if I recall due to a heavy early season workload and came back earlier than he should have and had another heavy workload. I'd still prefer/bet on a goalie that can play 50+ games and have a .918 save % over one who plays less than 25 and is around .908. Again, it boils down to if he can maintain around .910 while playing 30+ games a year. if he can, 3m is a good price, if he can't we'd be better off with another back-up. Many average goalies have had amazing years with a solid top 4d. Ours isn't great this year, and his stats are what you'd expect of a back-up. we'd have a couple more wins if it were Demko over Lank with this same group.
