What did you think about pulling sOrOkin on the FO in the Isles zone with 41 seconds left? I don’t agree with it. |

If the Isles end up with the worst record in the NHL, and the Rags have the 11th worst, the Rags will win the lottery and pick first overall.

Made no sense to me. If you win the draw, he comes out with the breakout. If you lose, THAT happens. Some conventional wisdom is conventional for a reason |

I literally said this to my daughter last week. Although with the new rules, the Rangers would have to be higher in the order to win the lottery. |

I believe the existing rules (new or otherwise) allow a team to move up a maximum of 10 spots in the draft. That's why I used the extreme case of the Rags finishing with the 11th worst record. The 12th worst record could only move up to the 2nd overall pick.

Well, there is a bright spot with Nelson and Eiserman playing for Team USA. Both are having a solid Tournament and helped Team USA beat Canada.
Happy New Year everyone.

Nice to see the isles with two prospects who performed well on a big stage. Not used to seeing that. |

I don’t see any scenario whereby Brock Nelson doesn’t bring back a first AND a prospect. Especially if the isles retain 50% of his salary.
Palmieri should bring back a first as well. - kindlyrick
I guess it depends on who that prospect is. |

It’s about the best thing going on this season. I would say Tsyplakov is a bright spot also. Has to clean up and refine his game but he’s got the tools. Speed up our rebuild a little bit(hopefully). |
