The Isles keep trying board to board cross ice passes in the o-zone. Seattle is eating that stuff up.

** and the obligatory "Whadda I do?" Scott Mayfield Penalty

Disgusting effort by Engvall on that third goal. Mayfield caught watching again. This is just awful

The score obviously looks bad, but is it really that lopsided?

The goals are all breakdowns, missed assignments. Puck possession has not been good. The Isles look terribly sloppy and weak

I guess I'm fortunate not to be getting ESPN+, too. Just looking at the stats, is Sorokin really that bad? .692 save%????

Edit: Now I see from the stat page that Sorokin got pulled after 2 periods.

Obviously this team is missing four huge players for this roster, but even with them back, there are just too many subpar players on this roster. There are also players who can be very good at times but are so damn inconsistent, they too become dead weight.

No. I can honestly say not a single goal is on him.

Roy must just be giving him a rest then. Glad to hear it.

Yeah. First two goals were very good tips. Third goal, Engvall took a nap and let Seattle scrape the roof 15 feet inside the blueline right down the middle. Fourth goal on the pk, Sorokin had Kraken ass in his face....Cracken, I guess.

And now I see that they've cut the lead in half. Probably too little, too late....

I hope this causes FA's to stay away from the Rangers.

These NTC or NMC are brutal along with 7 year deals for all.

They were playing that good even when they had the full roster ... It is time owner get rid of Lou and coach .

I don't see how any of this falls on Roy. He's been given a pretty lackluster roster to work with

I think you're gonna see a lot more NMC's in the future because guys aren't going to want to deal with the kind of bullpoop that Drury is pulling with his team

Lou will find a way to blame Patrick. Lou is very tough on coaches.

I get players do not want to move around, but is it fair to get so locked into these rosters it takes a lot to be able to make moves? It's gone too far to the players side and years ago it was too far on the owners. Needs to be a happy medium.

"It is believed that if Trouba does not accept a trade, the Rangers told No. 8 they will put him on waivers."

I guess that's one way to get around a no-trade. I wonder if any team would take him.

I don't really mind the NMCs. For me it's the length of the contracts is the bigger issue. The players will fight like hell to prevent it, but I think it should be a 5 year max.

I think only special type players should get 7 years and NTC. It's become a joke now. Does Mayfield have one? 5-year deal is more than fair.
