to be honest, i could barely hear the first couple so i just nodded. but they were all holiday related. the one he repeated was "when you're young you believe in santa claus, when you're older you don't believe in santa claus, when you're an adult you are santa claus." then he laughs like that's hilarious and you have to laugh along with him because he means well he's just a total mutant.

I usually legit laugh when someone tells me that kind of joke, not because it was funny but because of how bad it is loll

I bet there are some crazy flat-earthers off-the-grid militia-ready that still use coal to heat their homes.

The tax break applies to clothing, footwear, diapers, car seats, toys for children, jigsaw puzzles, physical video games, consoles and controllers, physical books, printed newspapers, Christmas and similar decorative trees, and food or beverages.

I get it... to too hard for large corporation to swap out their invoicing last minute, especially for set periods of time. Plus there is the issue of provinces with harmonize tax, they need to work through that.

I also imagine that small businesses will have a hard time with their systems (think of the small local shops or restaurants).

Gonna be chaos.

If they were gonna o this, they should have just sent people money an said here you go...

They are passing the taxes to the companies buying their product, which will get passed on to the consumer.

that sucks. if they're gonna do this to help the population they need to make sure things go smoothly for business owners as well.

Like I said... interesting concept, but is is gonna leave a patchwork of problems an cost companies lots of money to figure out and implement.

Some companies have this built into their systems, others do not.

Would have been easier to just send everyone money.

We are never going to hear the end of how this was/is a mess.
