Finally a Finn for Kaapo. I don’t think he’s had another countryman on the team since joining.

when he started, his mission was to get bigger, tougher and harder to play against - I think we have a very soft team- nobody to fear in our lineup

I know but those guys have to be good players lol

You look at all the size they have that still hasn’t matured yet, and you see the vision you talk about. Rempe need to get better, Edstrom is getting there. Roobroeck I think is like that too. Othmann is dooshy. It’s gonna take some time. They need to be faster which is the biggest problem imo

Ducks GM Pat Verbeek on Jacob Trouba:

“Jacob is a highly respected player in this league whose character and leadership qualities on and off the ice are second to none. We believe Jacob has many more years in this league and hope he is a big part of our future success.

It’s rare you are able to acquire a player with Jacob’s experience, stature and ability. On the ice he competes every shift, leads by example and is a presence on the blue line every night.”

🤔🤔🤔🤔I guess 😜😜😜😜

If he starts buckling dudes again, you’ll enjoy him. I think he’ll be fine for a team with cap space. Probably a weight off his shoulders in a way.

when 5 guys play together as a unit- Objects appear faster than they are- did you see pickle posted a chart of the slowest NHLers. There were some big names at the top of the slow chart.

I’m hoping a change of scenery and a new environment reinvigorates his game…. I’m sure it’s been pretty stressful in New York recently and over the summer….

And hopefully this means we can ship Cam out somewhere…

The defense is where I mean. I think we’re ok at forward, but the d can’t get the puck for them is definitely one of their main issues. This is why miller is so frustrating. Maybe he’ll improve now

Florida exposed us big time and they were hurt so it was even worse. We can’t handle forechecks

I still can't figure out what the value was here for Verbeek. He's not good and makes way too much money. I guess they didn't really give up much of value, but this seems like it's a pretty useless add.

I would have been happy with him getting claimed on waivers

Great move clear the Cap space for this year and next while replacing him with a better more mobile defenseman in Mancini and Jones is no longer jerked around.

I guess maybe they can try to flip him this year or next to a playoff team but that's still not the smartest plan

I wouldn't count on that one - we are too small on the backend and getting rid of Trouba didnt fix that - We are not a better team today than yesterday but we put ourselves in a good spot to get better with some quality moves

The only thing I can say is he can protect one of the young guys he plays with from getting pushed around… and he is only 30…

I’m just wondering what number he’s gonna wear because 8 is taken for all time here…

I guess, although I feel like that's a trope that kind of gets blown out of proportion among the media and fans.

I meant the protection thing. I don't care what number he wears

I hope it's 69 though
