I disagree. I think it's obvious and well-known that the players value Trouba. This is an emotional, sobering day for all of them regardless of how it plays out. I think tonight will be a tough game for them. We will need a few more to see the real impact.
That being said, I think the fact that they are playing Pitt tonight will actually mitigate the effect of losing Trouba. Against less of a rival, there might have been more room for personal emotions.

They ain’t doing that. If they can’t find a deal worthwhile they’ll just waive him. I could see Provorov and Trouba being involved but for a a prospect or two. Provorov is really exactly what they need tbh. I’m not just saying that because I want him, he’s a top 4 LHD who can play 24 minutes a game. That’s kinda perfect isn’t it?

How else was he going to handle the situation smarty pants? What were his options? Find me a way he could realistically done anything else? The team is floundering and his money could be used elsewhere. Trouba has zero value add to the Rangers right now at 8M cap hit.
