If Michkov was in the KHL this season, Flyers are right there with CHI in the standings. Its a testament to how good TK and Michkov have been to drag this offense forward. - Trox88
That’s a pretty good point and spot on. |

Torts actually liked Frost's game on the postgame presser. - THE EVIL WITHIN That's cause Torts is afraid to upset him cause he might fall to pieces if he is too rough on him. It's obvious the tough love doesn't work, so now I guess he's gonna try kid gloves. They probably already shopped him around and have figured out that no one wants him.

Frost is not a goal scorer, he is a playmaker. Frost has shown he has the skill to lead the team in scoring over a significant period of games as well as chip in goals. - MJL
been waiting for the frost fan club to bring this up. |

Why would you actually compare Frost, who was a later 1st round talent to a player with an elite skill level? - MJL
make sure you do the same when comparing frost to non 1st rd picks. |

Coots is fine as a 2nd line roll. He isnt playing at a level worthy of a #1. We dont know if he will ever get back to that point. Really depends when his decline happes. Coots just needs to focus on playing 82 games at the same level and finishing with more points than 38 or whatever he got last season/ He's on pce for 45-46 points so far. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
yes we do. his decline is happening now.
take out that 5 point game and what is his "pace"? excluding that game he has 10 points in 26 games. |

Can we also exclude the games he did not score any points? I am not arguing for Coots being a #1 center. He is clearly a #2 or worse at this point. But you can't just remove his best game to better fit your point. 5 points is 5 points.

Ersson looked pretty good last night. I think Fedotov is the clear number 3 right now. If I am the Flyers I am sending Kolosov back down until after the Nations tourney. If Fedotov is not a good bit better by then just call up Kolosov and waive Fedotov.
Good group of losses for the boys. Played hard against a couple of good teams, Michkov put up a bunch of points and they only got 1 point.
Drysdale seemed good last night. Did not get to really focus on him while watching though. |

5 point game is an outlier. yes you can remove it when looking at the bigger picture.
you want to use it to inflate his "pace" go ahead. |

He scored five points. That has to be factored into the equation. That's all I am saying.
It does not move the needle a whole bunch if that game is included or not. No one is saying he is a #1 because that game is included. Or at least I'm not.

Would've been better for the Flyers if Michkov had stayed in the KHL longer.

Michkov is going to end up like Lindros and Giroux. I love(d) watching them play but ultimately will be somewhat disappointed because they will/did not win due to poor front office management.

Unfortunately, that is the most likely outcome.

One of the few positives for me was Drysdale’s game…wasn’t perfect but he seemed to focus on what coaches have been asking him to do. That’s a start. |

They sure were pumping up Drysdale on tonight's telecast! I thought the Flyers stumbled upon the next Paul Coffey the way they were talking about him! I fear that he is gonna have a short NHL career cause he looks like a powder puff out there. Someone just breathes on him and he goes down. - Phillywhiteout
Drysdale did play well. Hopefully he can remain healthy enough to pump and dump him as I can’t see Keith Jones wanting all 3 of York, Andrae and Drysdale in the lineup long term. |

100%. now at a minimum they have to pay him 1 year earlier. they will likely get no bang for their buck on his ELC |

Andrae has made a significant impact. Probably right in that Jones wants big physical defenseman. He can't wait to get that kid from the Phantoms up.

I wouldn’t expect any radical trades from this group so it’s going to be through the draft or not at all. Next two drafts will decide whether management can pull it off. |
