"Further good news for the Canucks was the participation in the morning skate by Derek Forbort, who suffered a lower-leg injury in practice five weeks ago. The physical defenceman, a free-agent signing in July, has played just four games this season due to his injury and a six-game leave of absence in October due to the death of his father in Minnesota.

Tocchet said Forbort won’t play Tuesday against the Blues but should be available for Thursday’s game.

Yikes, those bottom 2 pairs are going to be tested. That lineup right their just emphasizes the need for another body with skill.

If that's the offer, Kyle Dubas drops the phone from laughing hysterically. Pitt knows what they have in Pettersson, it's going to be player, prospect and pick.

I'd be open to Hogz, Vinny D and a 2nd or something along those lines to make the $$ work.

Offer amended.
I'm sure there is some negotiations happening and probably would have happened already if Dubas liked what chef Alvin had on the menu.

I seen that you added the 3rd. We require retention or we need to send more to fit him in at the moment. I like the player but the bigger question is what is his next contract going to look like. With the amount increasing on OEL's buyout starting next year and needing to sign Brock, I think he may cost too much.

Hello Rasmus Anderssen, cost controlled for next season at a affordable cap hit.

They'd want the Canucks to take Kuzmenko back.

I'd do it, with assurances to move him on the Caps following.

Joshua scores his first goal on Demkos return and the Canucks off to good start at home.

Then in short order they ruin the story line to the first period with coverage bloopers and a shorty against.

One step forward two steps back.

RT time to yell in the room this team gets too comfortable too quick when playing at home. Loses focus and for crying out loud they are crashing into each other all over the ice. Like this sh!t needs to get cleaned up now!

Again, a defenseman getting caught way up ice for a shorty against, then John Shorthouse's idiot sidekick talks about what a great powerplay that was. Can't make this stuff up.

Canucks are so sloppy. I don't get it. Last season, I thought one of their strengths was structured play. Disciplined game. This season so far it's so sloppy and chaotic.

Last year, Myers stood out for the chaos he created. This season, he looks poised next to the rest. Crazy.

Not a lot of flow in this game. Lack of talent on both sides?

Boeser 2 min because the player in front of him fell down... wow!

...and they score on it. Well done NHL.
