I dont think Buffalo is a good example Buffalo has a good core. If they had a compent GM and Coach they could be good. If the Flyers could get a Thompson, Cozens or Dahlin they would be in a good position. Adams has been awful for Buffalo. Bad deals and rushing young players into top roles. Imagine how good they could have been had they not F'd up the Eichel situation.

Buffalo has made the non top picks work. They go the players they need just have failed to build around them
