I think we have 4 capable to elite defensemen and then we have 2 huge liabilities. The liabilities play in the top 4, and it’s a huge issue. If they were replaced by capable defensemen I would not have an issue. I think you still would have an issue with fans though, regardless. Idk why though. We all (Tom excluded) want them to win.

You guys hate Brukie so much that even if he was being genuinely kind to ya’ll, your minds are set and will assume theres some backhanded sarcasm behind it.

drury needs some time to get the defense figured out. He did something fairly large already that will be for best in the long run

Miller is really the key here (no pun intended) him alone has them back big time imo. If he was what we thought he’d be, the D is in much better shape.

This is why they need to ship one of these winger prospects out for a d prospect that is NHL ready

I don’t think the move is for an unproven defenseman, no matter how highly regarded he is. They need at minimum one defensive anchor. Play that guy with Fox, and whichever of lindgren or miller remains gets bottom pairing minutes. Anything short of that is conceding the season. That’s just for the defense. Something needs to happen in the top 6 forward group too. And I don’t think that Drury should wait because we have a BRUTAL stretch of games through January 14th. Look at the schedule. We could be well below .500 and out of it by then
