Doesnt really matter though. Regardless they get 5 mill from Farabee.
Frost doesnt need to be moved to Buffalo. He can be moved seperately.
Laughton could be moved seperately
Flyers can also waive Deslaurier when healthy for space or throw him on the LTIR until then.
They can get a bit of wiggle room demoting a goalie.
Im leaving out Risto because thats probably a harder deal to make when you need quick results - xShoot4WarAmpsx
But why would they want Farabee , that’s what I’m clearly pointing out. There’s not a good path for Cozens involving the flyers
Why exactly? Flames are looking for a high end centerman. That means they consider Cozens to be one so we should 100% be exploring this. Buffalo is not looking for a high end center. The proposed deal is Kuzemenko and prospect and a 1st. That isnt beyond PHI reach. If BUF is dumb enough to move Cozens, Im all in. They complain about how BUF is not a destination city so perhaps a guy like Tippett who is signed long term might be of interest to Buffalo as part of a package - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Just because a writer proposes a deal, doesn't mean that Buffalo is not looking for a center in return.
I dont agree. Adams is a bad GM and the fact that he would be moving Cozens shows how bad of a GM he is.
Flyers do have picks and prospects BUF would be interested in. I could see BUF wanting Farabee, harder to see Laughton as that is why they got Mcleod from EDM. Maybe hes just a good in the lockerrom throw in or for cap reasons. I imagine the 24 year old winger and the pick + prospect would be the main - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Here is the litmus test. Switch sides, come at it from Buffalo's side. Would you trade Cozens with Farabee as the main piece coming back? Or you can just go with Adams is a bad GM

No….you are right. They would have to pony up a serious, decent young asset.

Assuming and taking a leap that LOL Michkov is off limits. That would leave Luchanko. Otherwise they don't have it and I have doubts that would be enough.

They need NHL wingers. They rushed Benson, Quinn and Peterka are both struggling. Too much was placed on their young players. They need a NHL caliber winger and Farabee is that with upside still. Farabee probably wont score 30 goals but 25 goals and 60 points isnt out of the question. I still think he can be a 70 point guy even though he has struggled this season. Farabee would only be one piece in a package

Test is pointless. If I was Buffalo I wouldnt be moving Cozens period. I am not Buffalo. Adams is and he allegedly wants to move Cozens and if thats the case, hes a dummy. I would never trade Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson but that trade still happened. All that matters is what Adams will do
I believe BUF probably is not looking for high draft picks in a trade. Keep in mind, they traded Savoie for McLeod. Seems like with Dahlin, Power, and Thompson signed very long term- time to compete is now. We'll see how much value "culture" NHL players have in the trade market.
Something feels wrong about number 39 on Talbott. I mean, I know Hasek wasn’t there for very long. But when it comes to goalies, I feel like that number could be retired. Especially places where he played and had success.

He DID win 2 cups there and had great numbers over 4 seasons. Im just not sure 4 seasons is long enough to retire a number.

If they're moving Cozens, who was a potential future #1 center, then they need a center. There would have to be a lot more.

Test isn't pointless. It's the top viewpoint that anyone suggesting a trade for another teams player should consider. First you're making hypothetical trades then saying you wouldn't trade him. Which is it. It's either a discussion on a potential trade or it isn't. if it is, then looking from the other side is relevant. If all that matters is what Adams will do then why are you discussing it?
Stevie Y has been in DET pretty long, has he done a really good job? He's been there almost 6 years, and they are not that far away from the Flyers being contenders. Kind of disappointing.
