It's a tough go when you swap out 5-6 players from last season that showed a different structure under Tocchet. He's struggling to find the right mix for sure plus the injury to Hronek is massive. Then you have the Miller-Petey thing. Then Tocchet's derailment of Hog's career. Kind of a rough go but they can right the ship with a few acquisitions at or before TDL. But it's gonna cost to fill gaps.

Huge problem with Hronek on LTIR. They needed another quality D before he got hurt. The team as it stands now doesn't have the guns nor character for playoff success.

When you over-achieve a bit as the Canucks did last season expectations will remain high into this year. If we actually have Hughes Pettersson and Hronek out still for any period of time why toss picks out to band-aid the situation? But you know they will as PO's are the expectation and further. Joshua looks off still and Hogs career is still being derailed by Tocchet with 7 mins TOI last game? certain stuff needs to improve regardless of the injury situation.

Gotta love those early afternoon day games on a weekend. Vegas at the top of the league again, Jack Eichel is such a great young player, they don't really have any superstars but they play an amazing structured, detailed, game.
