I think you're strongly underestimating Demidov, he does not belong on a 3rd line, even to start the year imho.

''

Start him with 2 tough and defensive minded players, let him see the NHL game, get his feet under him, give him sheltered minutes, give him PP time - much like Heinamen is doing now - and then later in the season see about moving him.

I really do not want to see Demidov in the top 6 for at least the first 40+ games of the season.

he looks calm too, and well-positioned, I hope he gets the shutout for his 1st NHL game, would be pretty sweet.
- Pat1993

If he get shutout today I will start him tomorrow

I don't mind if he gets $3.5x4 but I hope Dvoral goes soon
- habs88888

For me, it is the term more than the $$.

I would like to see 3 years, maybe 4. But that is about it.

I know he's having a great season and I want to keep him around.

But to me, 3M is the max he should receive.

Before this season, he had a career high 29 points. He's 28 years old.

I feel like 3M is more than fair, if he wants more, it might be too much.

- Scabeh

Maybe, I have no idea.

I'm confident Hughes will make him an honest offer ... we'll see how high he's willing to go. He has a lot of experience negociating contracts.

LOVE Dobes's size in net. Huge upgrade over anything Primeau has given us this season.

I know, that bar was quite low but still...

- Scabeh

Yep, one game doesn't make a career but he looks solid in there.
Very good positioning ... and he's BIG !!!

The thing about Evans is his durability we have to factor that in as well

Then I probably trade him, yes.
- Scabeh

depends where you see him on your depthchart going forward imo.
if you think he'll be your #3C for the next 3-4 years... I don't have a problem with 4-4.5 per.
but if you see Hage on your 3rd line and Evans as your #4C.... it's not the same thing.

I've liked how Anderson used his speed and size to create 2 on 1s

Too bad he just puts it straight on the guy in the middle every time.

The way Dach has been playing this season, Evans is not easy to let go. + that would put a lof of pressure on Hage right away cause the Habs dont have much down the middle.

Agreed ... I wouldn't rush DemiGod right off the bat.
Let him get adjusted to the league (and speed).

I think Alexandre Carrier is a very significant upgrade over Justin Barron and it really shows in ch defensive results.
