Mailloux? no no, he's good offensively. have to give him that.
we didn,t see it at camp because I think he focussed on defense. but he always was a good offensive dman, big shot, right d. very similar to Bouchard.

true, but I still don't see Mailloux doing the same thing at this stage in his career.
- Pat1993

me neither, he still has to prove he can play in the best league in the world

the star treck guy is right, they should consider bringing back Savard with a pay cut. Dont think they would get much for him on the market at this point anyway.

Lebrun said the Oilers were interested because he wouldn't cost much.

Chris Johnston implied the Leafs were interested and willing to give up something significant.

So who knows?

with Matheson and Hutson, there's no room for him in Mtl. pretty sure a team will be interested.

I'm not opposed to keeping Savard ... our right D needs all the help it can get.
Carrier was a huge improvement over Barron.

I could see teams having interest but they wont get a first round pick for a guy that is a 5th or 6th defenseman at this point. Even if the plays on the pk. Will see I guess.

I think they traded for Carrier with the knowledge they were more than likely going to trade Savard at the TDL.

So they were backfilling for that eventuality.

Well you need 6 defensemen in your line up, 7 on your team. Also, you named 2 LHD.

They could finish the year with Struble on the third pair, but they might have to figure something out next season if they dont want to be weak on their blue line once again with too many kids and guys in the wrong chair (or wrong league).
