Oh, no, their beak is very weak. Barely felt the bites.

Yes, they are in a big tropical pavilion where they are free flighted.

Yeah they are free within the roughly 150' x 50' x 50' building, there are also some ducks there but they mostly stay hidden. There's 2 netted enclosures for monkeys and a giant anteater, plus a bunch of reptiles in terrariums - the time prior to this visit, the same aracari that bit me was watching a tortoise eating its lettuce and trying to get through the glass.

well that sounds great. i do love watching animals do animal things. they're just innocently trying to get by in life, you know.

not really the same, but sort of the same, i used to go to this fenced in pen i found in some apple orchards near one of my jobs when i was in my 20s. they would rescue injured deer and feed them apples and nurse them back to health and then let them back out into the woods. sometimes there would be 15 deer in there. and if one was pregnant when they put it in the pen you'd get little tiny baby deer, which were even cooler. you could feed them apples right through the fence. it was just cool to watch them do deer things.
