Broberg should have been signed to a contract long before there was even an offer sheet, D is what we badly need and we had a good option in-house. But the Holloway side of the coin is almost worse. We sign Skinner as a winger for 3 mil, and he's already been relegated to 4th line duty. Under 13 min per game, -11, and a point every 3 games. Dylan would have been half the cost, and been way more valuable. Wicked asset mismanagement, sad that other GMs know what our players are capable of more than our own group does.

No brainer to keep 2 first round kids, but Bowman has proven he isn’t immune to mistakes. Oilers basically have no youth knocking down the door, signing more old, slow, washed up players. Wasting more McDavid years.

The Broberg debacle was a big one for EDM. Yes Skinner has been mediocre but he also need to be in position to succeed as well. Buried on the 3-4th lines at this point of his career he ain't gonna accomplish much.
