How is it possible that a player can play 32 games average around 17 minutes per game, be on Pp1 and only have one assist? It has to be some sort of a record? |

Whats wrong with a guy putting up 40-50 pts and is a reliable defender and puck possessor? - aecliptic
Nothing at all. I would have kept him. Trading him was fine for the right return |

According to nhl.com zib has the 3rd worst +/- in the league. 794/796 players. 😂 - Mtlca66
Mika should step away from the game for a little bit. Do what JT Miller did and step away for personal reasons. I can’t stand to watch him anymore. Every single game he is the biggest liability on the ice. I can’t remember the last time we played and he didn’t play a negative factor in at least one goal against. I honestly could stomach the lack of production if he wasn’t so detrimental in his own end. Just watch him play and you can just tell he is petrified to have the puck on his stick. No confidence and is playing scared. |

Aside from that 15 minutes in the second period, another brutal game. Our 5.5M goalie turns into our 11.5m goalie next year and he has to be better.
It was imperative to get rid of Goodrow, trade Trouba, sit KK, Trade KK, sit Vessey threaten CK20, Sit CK20 but yet the real problem players like Mika and Miller get a free pass. I really dont understand it. There is different accountability standing for each player.
Ive lost my faith in Lavy, he is desperate to try anything different, he is holding onto the hope that Mika gets it going, I can understand a few games but not this stretch of 15 games, he needs to have more in the kids rather a veteran who looks disinterested. |

Igor has not been good. Hasn’t been top 5 in the reg season for two years now. He has to make a big save early

I skipped the game. First time this season. Watched Downton Abbey with my wife and daughter instead. And probably enjoyed it more than I would have the game. 😮💨
Watched the "highlights" this morning. Absolutely unfathomable that Lavi takes Mika off PP1, puts Chytil on his line and then starts the next period with 20/93/91 like all is forgiven. I don't entirely blame Lavi for this situation, but he has no balls, either.
If he can't even send a proper message about effort and accountability we are completely lost. |

Not sure what situation you are referencing. 20/93/91 was a line all game. Zib was hurt to begin the 2nd period so Chytill filled in for a shift for 2. But the last 2 minutes Chytill not getting to play for zib on the 6v4 was a huge mistake by Lavi, agree on that |

I wonder if there's any truth to this about Zib. One can hope.
For what it’s worth, one source with strong knowledge of the situation indicated to me that the 31-year-old pivot is available for trade and is willing to waive his no movement clause for the right spot.

Coming from a leaf’s fan website? I doubt it’s true - TPC
He's on the nhl radio channel on XM, and they do get a lot of insiders on it, but who knows.
You would think he's willing to waive the NMC at some point. The writing is on the wall in NY, it seems like most of these guess are going to be shipped out eventually. Who would want to stick around for this? |

pagnotta isnt quite brooks/friedman but he isnt a nobody
Citing a source close to the Rangers, Pagnotta reported on Monday that Zibanejad would be open to waiving his NMC for the right environment. It is unclear, however, if the Rangers and Zibanejad have discussed which teams he would accept a move to, but that conversation could come if Drury finds the right fit. |

Oh, ok. That makes sense. I just saw Fil lined up between them in the hilight package and thought Lavi must have made a switch. That misplay leading to the 1st goal was so bad. Not bad enough for Peter, though. |

Where there's smoke, there's fire. Let's go! - TheMessiah94
Boo-yah! Reading between the lines here, but from following how this stuff goes for many years, my best guess is that Mika told his agent to let some mid tier hockey press person know he's open to waiving to be traded somewhere that he fully controls.
If I were Mika that's exactly how I would go about it. |

Yeahhhh if he can't handle the heat in NYC, I don't think he wants to go to the Leafs or Habs and be an unmovable anchor contract there for 5 years. Would just be going from misery to more misery. Anaheim, san jose, LA, etc. seem more likely options |
