Honestly, right now, the players hate Drury, pretty clear. If Dolan is okay with him, he stays. If not, complete housecleaning could happen. If it does, wonder if Panarin asks for a trade. - airjan23
I mentioned that other day that I think this is all calculated by Drury. With Dolans blessing. In that he’s done with this core (as of the panther series loss), and is in the process of moving on from virtually everyone. I think don’t think anyone is safe (except the prospects here or coming (ie-Cuylle, Schneider, etc), laf and Shesty. And they’re ok with sacrificing this season |

I dont mean Chytil will get a 1st, but Im just saying in general to try to hoard up as much as possible. |

Miller was traded for good reason. He was TERRIBLE in the playoffs and they wanted more out of him. 40 Career Playoff games --- 1 GOAL! Plus he was SOFT as hell. The games got more physical in the POs and he couldn't play. Now you can make an argument that they didn't get enough back in the trade, but he wasn't developing in NY. - TommyGTrain
Miller was soft? He was one of the few on those teams that actually played with an edge, hence why I liked him so much. Not sure what games u watched |

This is where Kreider comes in. They retain a few bucks on him they could most definitely get a first rder. Like a Colorado for example. They have a poop 3rd line every game |

I’d trade Shesty before his next contact kicks in |

Remember how many of us were screaming that this Rangers team was not tough/were soft under Gorton. There was that whole "Dolan referendum" to get tougher. That same core was there then, as it is now. Drury was brought in to make this team tougher by Dolan and is still dealing with the soft core players due to bad contracts and cap hell. A winger here, a 4th liner there, does NOT make a team tough.
IMO this season is the pinnacle of how soft, mentally and physically, the core of this team is. Curious to see what Drury does now that he has full reason to purge these players, a move that has been delayed through overachieving. |

A little confused why this signing didn’t happen closer to the deadline. Doesn’t seem like trading him ever crossed Drury’s mind. |

He isn’t getting traded. And I’m sure NYR19383737377373483738393938383939334819292263 will never let that go either lol |

This is why Rempe is so annoying. He needs to play clean because this is where they need him. But he can’t and it’s frustrating. He’s got some skills if he could just learn how to be a hockey player. Cuylle, Edstrom and Roobroeck are the future beef of the team, and Rempe if he can figure it out

And I'm not sure what games you watched. You talk about Miller through revisionist history.
He flourished as a complete player WELL AFTER he was moved out of NY. When he was here, he never reached his potential. He played with a chippy edge, but not with heart. He was disinterested and sullen here.
It took 2 teams giving up on him for him to grow up and become the player he is. |

Every player has regressed this year except Cuylle and chytl maybe.
But miller zib Lindgren kreider other levels of bad - nyrangers2
Only slightly less of a disaster as Zib. At least he can be traded. How can you go 1/2 a season with one helper!? |

He had edge. He killed penalties with Hayes. They were dangerous. What is true however is the one playoff point. But he was still very young. His biggest issue was taking bad penalties and not seeing eye to eye with AV.

To be fair he could have had at least 3 last night if players could finish. He set up Trocheck twice on the powerplay alone right in front of the net. While he hasn’t been great, it’s not all on him
Kreider is still 2nd on the team in goals |

Ive said this year, after year, after year, after year. He is not the kind of player who elevates anyone around him. Hes a fast skater, hes good on the PK, obviously great in front of the net, great player to have for dump and chase hockey... thats it. It doesnt mean hes not necessarily a good hockey player but to expect anything more out of him is crazy. Hes a third liner, who is good to have on the ice when theres a possession change and you need someone to get down the ice and retrieve the puck in the O-zone during a line change. Everyone in the NHL knows hes no threat on the ice with the puck. |

Everyone knew they had to get tougher, including Gorton and JD. Drury's first move was to deal Buch and receive Sammy Blais in return, then signed Ryan Reeves. If no change had been made in the front office, I am dead certain the team would have taken steps to get tougher. |

Othmann hurt again
Nvm he’s back - picklerick
They need to call him up and let him play like Berard (assuming he’s healthy obv). Maybe that would get Zib going🤷🏻♂️to run him out there shift after shift without trying anything different is really irritating by now.
I’m not looking to fight about zib but if he’s here and playing, for gods sake try to get the best out of him. Moving him RW appears to never be happening. But him and Kreider are no longer viable together, and who’s fault it is irrelevant |

It’s probably for the best since we really shouldn’t be winning many games. Don’t do what the giants did
This team needs a top 5 draft pick and we’re heading in the right direction. Tom would be proud of me |
