That challenge would have failed, bringing a 4 min. minor and more criticism of Lavi. The puck was under his foot against the post while he was sprawled out on his belly. That has never been considered enough to stop play.

I disagree. Once it's under a goalies pad or skate and covered the ref loses sight and blows it dead. If a player pushes the leg of the goalie to loosen the puck refs usually stop play. That should've happened IMO but as has been typical this year the call never came. If the Rangers had done that, which has happened in the past. Same with the goalie interference non call. Didn't the Rangers have a goal disallowed a little while back for a skate in the blue paint but no contact with the goalie and had a goal disallowed? Florida player had a skate in the blue paint on that play.

Did Panarin and Quennville cross paths on the Hawks? I can’t remember. If they did, idk it could make things worse. Panarin seems the most engaged even tho he hasn’t been fantastic. I do think he’ll still be here when all is said and done. And probably just leave as a UFA.
