Final pregame thought. Wes McCauley has to make sure Ovi gets a pp goal right?

Messier still talking about how the Rangers players are mad about having a “brother” traded way as though they weren’t playing like poop before Trouba was traded

I mean they are trying to promote the nhl on ABC. He’s not gonna say this team blows to the national audience. They want people to watch lol

Look. If it were mika for jt miller straight up I would do that every day. He cannot be worse and can actually be bought out

I agree, one 30+ year old for another 30+, but VAN would never do that. Picks and prospects would be going the other way, and it’s just not the type of trade this team needs.

When Fox plays like this, you might be right, even though I know you’re being sarcastic

Such a lazy penalty call. Happens all the time. Defender loses his stick and they automatically call holding the moment he defends. There was nothing there

Yes and no. It’s well known I’m a big JT Miller fan. But I’m not a fan of getting him at 32 and giving up let’s say Berard Othmann and a 1st for him. If it’s that “type” of trade, I’d be very upset. If it were somehow Zib and Berard let’s say, eh, ok.

More than anything, this team needs zib to return to form. He does seem more engaged in the last three games

Look, you know as well as all of us, Dolan wont tear it down. Our options with Mika are very limited, starting with the teams he would consider accepting a trade to.

Im only only with a Miller trade if its Mika for him straight up, maybe with like 1m retention and a mild sweetener. None of the youth, none of the high picks.

While you all root for a trade, I’m rooting for a comeback

Mika is a lost cause dude. And the contract is buyout proof. Unload it if you can and never look back

I think it’s a summer thing. Zib will want time to decompress and talk with his family before deciding to waive his NMC. Can’t see it during the busy time of the season

That’s why I’m rooting for him to return to form and I do think it’s possible. I’ve seen it with other athletes in other sports and even hockey- all the time.

These guys are human beings. We have no idea what makes them tick. He’s only 31 years old. He’s definitely not physically done. It’s a matter of confidence and it’s in his head. It seems every mistake he makes ends up in the net.

The thing is, Mika is not even THAT good. He had 1, maybe 2, elite years where he actually played like a legit #1 center.

I was wrong about Trocheck 2 seasons ago. Thrilled I was. I’m not some unreasonable miserable loser. This brings me no pleasure but Mika is absolutely done.
