I was wrong about Trocheck 2 seasons ago. Thrilled I was. I’m not some unreasonable miserable loser. This brings me no pleasure but Mika is absolutely done.

I think you’re wrong. The guy is actually shooting the puck. He’s actually going into the corner and mixing it up. Going to the center of the ice.I mean this is a different zib than we’ve seen all season even last season.

More than anything else today they’re defending the neutral zone and holding the blue line which they haven’t done all season.

Every 15 games he puts the most basic of efforts in and someone says what you’re saying. For years

Right now, I think you’re worse than both. Some people on this blog need to root for the devils. You continue to do you I’ll do me. I have 10 home games left and I’ll continue to be a ranger fan first and defend the players

I’m not Tom. I think our best chance is reloading for next year. Mika is toast. Lindgren is toast. A few others are dead weight. Fix that as best you can and bring in some high effort guys + Perreault. Why do you need me to be some kind of lunatic in your mind lol

If we bottom out and land Hagens… amazing

These guys are human beings. We have no idea what makes them tick. He’s only 31 years old. He’s definitely not physically done. It’s a matter of confidence and it’s in his head. It seems every mistake he makes ends up in the net.

Players can absolutely decline at 30/31. Brad Richards comes to mind immediately. Year 30 he’s over a PPG, 31 on he was never a PPG again and declined every year after 30. There’s a ton of players that that happens to. Obviously it’s not all, but it could absolutely be what’s going on with Zib. He doesn’t have that same jump anymore.

I totally agree with you, but it doesn’t mean that he can’t come back and with my eyes he looks better, especially this game -jump in the step

And if Mika has anything left in the tank he’s not going to find it here. He’s clearly not great at dealing with the lens focusing on him when he’s not playing well, which is a human thing. It’s just over for him here

I’ll try and be as diplomatic as possible here while still conveying the same sentiment I have been, because I think you’re a cool guy. He’s playing with an average effort level and confidence level for a period and it feels like he’s flying because normally his feet and brain are skating in mud

Was a good effort period and a lot of good things were there. Kreider scored on an absolute gift from Thompson and we weren’t able to capitalize on any other chances. Capitals (and McCauley) made us pay for it with another late period goal. This is absolutely a game this years team folds in. Better come out with an even higher effort level

I’m crazy, but I would love to see Mark Messier as the Rangers coach. this is not a new thought. The guy is just a born leader of men and I think he would be a great NHL coach. he’s just too big to put in the time in the minors.

Second periods have killed us all year. I guess you could add first and thirds also.
