Because he sucks defensively. His strength has always supposed to have been his skating and his offensive ability. Problem is, he barely scores and despite being on the PP is an offensive afterthought.

I disagree but understand why it’s done in regular season or in the juniors non elimination games but essentially you take a team 5 on 5 sport and make it an all star game competition.

Yes I also hate the shootout and feel the exact same way about it.

Goal celebrations have gotten way out of hand and it’s trickled down to kids hockey. It’s always been over the top at the World Juniors but my nephew plays U9 rep or triple A or whatever they are calling it now and it’s there.

One kid on their team scored a goal and then skated by the opposition bench, went down on all 4’s and lifted his leg towards them like a dog peeing.

Apparently the other team has been chirping them about their team name (Bulldogs) and he wanted to “get them back”.

Post game the coach on my nephews team made that kid go to the opposition locker room and apologize. That part doesn’t happen often - the parents and coaches are often worse than the kids!
