Some good some bad. Some big rebound and some big saves, including on the same play (2nd TO goal)

Of course just bait as he has made a nice healthy living out of it; kudos to him. It gets people talking so is that really a bad thing? - furio16
The thing is that it doesn’t really seem to be getting that many clicks. Bill’s blogs routinely got a much larger response even when he was just posting lineups. |

I’d love to see the numbers, but I’d bet Ek lost 50% of his audience with his blackout period.
Hell, that’s why I’m here tonight. 80% of Hockeybuzz was Flyers and Leafs, and we’ve had to go to blizzard public school protocol: take the handful of kids from all the classes who showed up, through them together in the gym and put on a movie.
As an aside, how do have your website go dark for a week for “upgrades” and when it comes back it’s the exact same interface as 2003? |

Losing his two most popular bloggers and then shutting down for a week must have hurt things. I paid the subscription fee for many years, but did not re-up this year because Bill left. I’m happy to pay for good writing, but have not seen anything worth paying for lately. I checked out a few other Flyers discussion forums while HB was down. I didn’t see anything that looked/worked any better than HB. I think the format is pretty good. |

The ugly truth is Mike was never a great writer. As a Leafs fan, I have 100 options for good Leafs reads.
The Leafs thread has always been about the comments and the camaraderie.
Simple additions like being able to like posts and being able to mute trolls would make it a much more enjoyable experience. |

What sparked that Hathaway fight - ClaudeFather
He ran the goalie (or was perceived to have run the goalie - I’m in the Flyers thread).
McCabe was tangled up with him and ended up on top.
McCabe gave him two shots ro the head (not vicious - just voicing his displeasure).
Hathaway got up and sent him to IR.
Best line was Kypreos in the intermission - McCabe’s mistake was letting him stand up. |

Love Kyper, I imagine Hathaway was a type of player he was but Kyper fought much more |

Absolutely ridiculous to suggest that trade. Makes zero sense in any way for the Flyers. Leafs would even include Myers and Reeves. - furio16
Even Signing Marner as a ufa doesn’t make us a contender so no sense in doing that. Stay the course. Trade vets for picks at the tdl. |

Yea, I enjoy the comments and camaraderie too. I dont think there’s a troll issue here as much as there’s just a few of people who really like to bicker. I don’t get it. I don’t like the bickering. Doesn’t seem like fun to me and it has chased a lot of good people away. |

There used to be a lot more let’s say collegial hockey talk without the constant insults and veiled jabs. Now sometimes you have to sift through pages and pages of the back and forth to find a good hockey conversation. Also, when someone disagrees with you, that’s just fine and sometimes it should just be left there without it getting personal |

Sanheim ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! I have no idea why Torts keeps putting him out there in OT. Matthews was bobbling the puck. Sanheim could have checked him and took that puck and instead backed off. I said it before and will say again, Sanheim should not be out there in OT. Where was Drysdale? |

Fedotov in goal. A 3-2 OT win is in order.

If the Flyers traded Konecny last season or during the offseason, then Id have interest in Marner
Unless the Flyers plan on moving TK before July 1st theres no reason to add Marner
Michkov is untouchable.
#1 Priority is a #1C. Flyers need to be active and find that Forsling\Toews\Fox\Eichel type moves |
