Hypothetically, if both were the same age who would you prefer? MM or MM? |

Regarding Marner, if signed we would have 29 yo TK starting is 8 year deal and similarly sized 28 yo Marner starting his deal. My guess is that would not age well |

You’d have to take MM, there is no telling MM will reach the current level of MM. I highly doubt the ceiling for MM is much higher than current MM. |

The Flyers need to focus on center and defense. They need to focus on drafting.

If the Flyers traded Konecny last season or during the offseason, then Id have interest in Marner
Unless the Flyers plan on moving TK before July 1st theres no reason to add Marner
Michkov is untouchable.
#1 Priority is a #1C. Flyers need to be active and find that Forsling\Toews\Fox\Eichel type moves - xShoot4WarAmpsx

Michkov should be un-tradable considering how his arc aligns with the current developmental curve in the organization. And his ceiling cannot reasonably be predicted at this point but there’s a strong argument it is as good as or higher than an already peaked Marner who will cost more and provide less over the same time frame and is a known choke artist while at least Matvei has the chance to not be one.
Marner at MOST is worth 8.5per/5yrs/$42.5M
Centers and Defenseman are more valuable than goalies.
Save for a few wingers, none of them should ever take up 10% of your cap if you wanna win.
Someone will pay him $12M+. Doesn’t make him worth it. |

More absurdity. Marner has been a Selke trophy finalist and is one of the top 2 way players in the NHL.

Maybe offensively but there is no indication so far that Michkov has the defensive pedigree that Marner has. 8.5M for Marner is ridiculous.

You keep pumping those stats. Meanwhile how has Toronto done in the playoffs with Marner? How has Marner performed individually in the playoffs? That's what matter when you are talking about committing a max contract to a so-called proven commodity. Marner has to me only proven he is soft and I would not want him on the Flyers. |

What I'm going to keep pumping is common sense because that's all that is needed to confront the nonsense you offer. I did not name a single stat in that reply. Using common sense, a player isn't going to be nominated as a finalist for the Selke trophy if he is a soft player. My comment was not refuting anyone's opinion on whether it is a smart move for the Flyers to go after Marner. Just your ridiculous comment that he is soft. You're also wrong about it being a max contract. It wouldn't be near that.
I'll finish with this. How has Travis Konecny done in the playoffs? Yet you keep pumping him as the face of the franchise.

Come on now. TK pushes people after the whistle and says mean things to the other team. Who cares about playoff performance?

We don't know how TK wil perform until he actually gets there. I am not going to count the bubble fiasco a few years ago. However we do know how Marner has performed in the playoffs ... he's soft and not a player I would spend that kind of money on. I don't care who has nominated him for what. I know the player, he's not a winner. |

Konecny has never carried a team to the playoffs or played in the playoffs. He's just not a winner. Marner has. He wasn't nominated, he was voted as a finalist for the Selke trophy. You can't be considered one of the best 2 way players and one of the best defensive forwards in the league if you're soft. Marner has put up 49 points in 57 playoff games. I know you don't care because you don't like to deal in facts. You deal in fantasy.

Yet you think TK, Laughton Couturier and the like are winners I bet. Flyers have the biggest group of losers assembled. |

Think about it, how can anyone have any faith in this organization.
- paid the 13th overall + for Risto.
- Wasted a 5th overall pick with next to nothing to show for it.
- drafting a dman because of need and not the BPA.
- Drafted a guy who if he hits his ceiling is a 2nd line center over a guy who if he hits his ceiling is a top pair dman.
- not moving on from players because you refuse to trade them (such a winning pedigre) or they are extended.
Have they even started to build around MM yet? I am not seeing it. Just a rudderless franchise. No real plan. Taking it week by week. Day by day
