Interesting PK, let Tavares line up a shot at the dot on the PP- bold - Trox88
Sanheim is out of position and Ristolainen was slow to rotate.

Followed up by letting Matthews walk down the middle on the PP |

Props to Cates, found a way to still forecheck and become a center |

The Laughton situation is for me he does not score enough to be in a top 6 role, and is not defensive enough to be a shutdown fwd in the bottom 6. As he ages, my assumption is his scoring will decrease and his defense will not get markedly better. |

I keep hearing how improved Ristolainen is. Pathetic coverage by him on the Matthews goal. Standing still flat footed, reaching weakly with his stick. News flash to Ristolainen. The dead slot is a danger area. |

Rocky's PP brilliance on display. Michkov has had a lot of success on the right half boards to create or roam to the point and shoot thru traffic. Now, on the left half boards because of course. |

News flash, had he climbed up the slot Nylander is wide open. Laughton and cates standing next to each other doing nothing is the issue |

LOL Torts has Michkov out there with Poehling as his center. What a joke.
Flyers should be fielding top 2 lines with combinations of:
Konecny Couturier Michkov
Tippett Frost Farabee

Cates gets some blame there as well IMO. A very late collapse down low by the center on the ice. IMO that's Cate's responsibility. |

Would be a shame if the Flyers lose this game tonight. This is best game they have played in a while. Brink and Cates are awesome right now. |

the only problem is Couts and Frost are not top 6 centers. |

Cates was up high and he at least made an effort to get low. Ristolainen didn't make any effort and all he had to do was take one stride towards Matthews. It wouldn't have had any effect on Nylander being open, who was already wide open. The most dangerous area is the slot, not where Nylander was. Brutal coverage by Ristolainen. He has been leaking goals with numerous poor coverages. He is responsible or partially responsible for both Toronto goals.

Those type of collisions have happened a lot lately. This is a boring game. The announcers are horrible. |

You think this is a good game? One of the best the Flyers have played in a while? Yeah… pretty much starved for real entertaining hockey my friend. This is a horrible game. |

Ristolainen sometimes makes some really good plays but heaps of bonehead plays. Sometimes he looks like he's stoned on weed or something. Couturier gives off a lot of the same vibes recently—especially tonight. For Couturier I think it's more of a coaching / cerebral issue that Torts initiated with him going back to last season limiting ice time, benching, and then scratching. Lots of the offensive Flyers players you can sort of tell they're playing to be safe and defensive and super worried about not getting benched or their ice time cut short. Horrible line combinations and chemistry all around for the Flyers IMO, which is a direct result to the way Torts coaches the team. |

Yeah, such a waste. He's a tweener on most NHL teams, sent down to the farm and in and out of the lineup as a plug for 3rd and 4th lines. |

Michkov back on the bench thank god.
For the love of god keep sending that kid out. He's not tired or out of his depth. Put him on the ice with a combination of Konecny/Frost/Tippett/Farabee.
