The contract wasn't Pouty's fault. He didn't hold out for it. That contract was delivered to him on a silver platter. Blame Allvin or whoever the GM is, not Pouty.

Way too many people base Miller's reputation on his 1 season that he looked like he finally matured into a leader and had a big season. Same people will base Petey's reputation on a similar sample size when Petey struggled.
Meanwhile, the media abuses the fuk out of this fanbase who are victims of their own gullibility and group think. They get what they deserve. - boonerbuck
I'm sorry I struck a nerve with your hero, I thought he was 32, turns out he turns 32 on March 14th, in two months....I'm sorry. I feel shame. - Pacificgem

Should stakeholders of the team expect players to perform up to their title/ salary? I know you are a lazy government worker but in the private sector people are held accountable for their performance.
To add onto this….if Pouty was trying hard, working in the offseason and practicing properly, I think most would give him a pass. He showed up out of shape and has a sh!t effort in practise and in games. Earn your (frank)ing $$$ or at least work your ass off or GTFO

Oh, I complained about a lot of things that I found distasteful about this team last season but a bunch of you accused me of being negative and a whiner.
Saying that, they exceeded expectations last season. This season, they ain't anywhere close to meeting expectations. The goal of any pro sports franchise is to improve and progress. Canucks don't do that. It's like they take one step forward and two back. It's exhausting as a fan. - bloatedmosquito
They don’t bottom out like the Coilers did and take 4 shots at a generational player.

He’s come a long way from complaining about the trade originally, I’ll tell you that!

I thought Pouty was following the Mikita approach to training...
Pouty is the best trade chip. A one year reset. Help is on the way next year on the backend. Add some size in the summer. As long as they have Hughes for cheap they have a shot - CanuckDon
Miller is the best trade chip. Given his age (32? 31?) and contract, you gotta sell high. It's only downhill for him from here.
I don’t really care who they trade other than I obviously despise pouty. How do we win anything w Ep - Suter- bluegar - Sasson as our Center?
Miller isn’t bringing back a young 2c w size - CanuckDon
If you trade Miller and Pettersson you’re going to get four or five players back, but you’re not going to be as good in the short term and you’re risking losing Hughes to free agency.
Things like that are why the Sabres haven’t made the playoffs in 13 years and they’re perpetually in a rebuild mode. Trading Miller gets you a middle six center and a middle pairing defenceman, or at least it should.

Cannot say enough about QH on his play & leadership. Takes it all in stride & no quit & speaks well.
Was a good effort & some encouraging signs. The PP has to improve it’s disjointed & struggles too often. Entries mostly the culprit. Boeser has disappeared tk a degree expect more from him. Hog looked more engaged still needs to up it couple levels. Miller looks his old self. Good to see. Need EP back & get this fully back on the tracks.
Apparently Wilson challenged the Canucks bench after regulation. No takers. - VanHockeyGuy
He shoulda been in the box for 2 on the late Garland interfence hit & not be near the bench. Last game Hog took a similar penalty. Inconsistent reffing.
