Or maybe Frost could not be so soft and cover his guy? - jd250
I did not like Dumba's pass going thru the crease about 2 feet in front of Ersson - not exactly at high velocity. Frost is trailing the play. I think Ersson could have done more. |

I understand right now based on the numbers and our eys at the WJCs, Briere looks bad for passing on Buium, who like Michkov, fell right into his lap. All I can say is its really too early to tell. I have little doubt Buium is going to be a very good NHL player and has the potential to be a top pairing defenseman. Whether he gets there in the NHL is still undetermined. Likewise, Luchanko was 17 years old when he got drafted, and he came into his first Flyers camp and won Torts over which is not an easy thing to do. In fact, Luchanko blew Tort's famous rope test out of the water which most experienced NHL players could not do. As much as I love Michkov, he struggled to even finish the rope test, and you can see right now he is not in shape to manage an NHL season. Luchanko has a good chance to develop into a very good top 6 center. Look at how much Cates has developed in the past 2 years. Coming into this season it looked like was a 4th line winger. Now he looks to be at a minimum a really good 3C. So I think we need to be patient here and see how Luchanko develops.
Same with Tippet. We see he has 11 goals in 41 games and say he's not worth the contract. But he can get hot and put up 15-20 goals in the final 41 games, and all of sudden you got a 30 goal scorer and a player that is worth his contract. So you just never know. - jd250
The rope test is completely irrelevant to how good of a player Luchanko will be. Michkov not being in shape is an invention and fantasy. Cates has had a good month, otherwise he has been an offensive black hole.
You just never know. Unless of course its a player you don't like. Like Frost, he has to be traded. Sanheim sucks and on and on and on. The players you like, get leeway. The players you don't like. Completely different tune. The only thing consistent about you is your inconsistency.

Yes, Ersson was deep in his crease and could have deflected that pass if he was a little more aggressive. |

The same way you said he could be a 1C or has already proven he is a top 6 NHL center.

The rope test is so old school. When I was in college we called it The Michigan. Same thing…

The rope test is about conditioning, which is one aspect of being an NHL player. Michkov is not in NHL shape and even Torts talked about changing his nutrition intake and his training this off season. Michkov has said this himself. I don't like Frost as a player for good reason. Same with Farabee. Sanheim has moved out of the Suck category but is sliding his way back to it. |

Again, more fantasy from you. Hey, at least I don't comment on a game I didn't watch. You can try to lie about me, but you are not going to get out from under this complete blunder on your part. |

Welp, at least there is always the culture is in tact to winning as they continue to slide to a top 5 pick. i am starting to believe they may get a good lottery ticket for the Hagens sweepstakes. |

Yes, but I know by the end of the year Tippet will have 25+ goals, and Frost will be no where close. - jd250
You step in it every time. It's hysterical. When other make a future prediction that you don't like. it's "how could you possibly make this statement at this point" or "how could you possibly make this statement at this point". You're so incredibly full of it.
Based on this season, out of Cates, Frost and Tippett, using the same standard as you have. The player to trade is Tippett who is making 6.2M a year and is signed to an 8 year deal and drastically underperforming his contract.

It's a fact and multiple witnesses have confirmed the same. Deny it all you want.
Is there a rule I missed about not being allowed to comment on a game you didn't watch.

Boobirds out in full force already.
Lots of very basic fundamentals and execution issues in that period for the Flyers. Also, there looks to be little chemistry out there with these ridiculous line combinations. |

The whole competition of which GM is better or who won the trade aspect of trades over the past 5 years or so has only amped up and takes a lot away from context. It's really like a Toronto area TSN Radio talk show sort of aspect of the NHL (there's honestly little to no value in any of it) equivalent to the dumbasses constantly nitpicking and chatting about the Eagles nonstop on the radio here in Philadelphia.
After what appears to be a Flyers fumble or an overreach by Cutter, (I don't want to start that debate up again) I'm just happy the Flyers were able to at least get something in return - a bonafide bluechip prospect. |

I have to start paying attention to how Hagans, Martone, Misa, and Schaefer are developing again. Having the league's worst save % now halfeay thru the year suggests the Titanic probably is not being rescued. |

Throughout the storied history of the Philadelphia Flyers, famous combinations of forwards coalesced together into fantastic units on the ice. Lines like the LCB Line featuring Barber, Clarke, and Leach.
In the 1990s the famous and terrifying Legion of Doom line featuring LeClair, Lindros, and Renberg flat out dominated the entire league.
In the early aughts, the Flyers featured a top unit known as The Dueces Wild with the lethal speedster Gagne, the hobbled but dynamic Forsberg, and late bloomer big man Knuble.
Today, Flyers fans can celebrate and cry out to the heavens with vigorous excitement as the .JPG Line featuring Farabee, Poehling, and Hathaway take the ice. Drawing penalties, and effortlessly chipping pucks into the offensive corners of the ice. |

Nothing will change until Torts is gone. Poehling, Laughton, Hathaway, and Cates are his favorites. They're using Farabee (who actually has skill with proven scoring) as a grinder in the bottom six. It's comical at this point. |
