Unless its Kreider- there is nobody more negative than him. i mean. take Mika for example. The dude has been amazing in his Ranger career- but every post TPC writes is how he sucks. (others too) |

I love our fan base. After every win the playoff push is back on. After every loss need to trade everyone lol - TPC
That’s how we live day to day lol
In fairness they’ve played a lot better recently. They just can’t afford any more hiccups but that’s a lot to ask for if you look at the big picture of the season. It’s hard to believe in them. They seem have gotten past the whole lockerrom meltdown at least, and this schedule has been bruuuuutal. It finally eases up soon where we have some winnable games to play
I can’t remember a harder stretch of opponents they had to play as this last month or so. It’s been a perfect storm of bad |

Games like that are great. They show there’s still some meat on the bones and emotion in the room. They can be a catalyst.
In my mind, this is still a “maybe” team. Maybe they make it, maybe they don’t. But I’ll say this: If they play every game with hard work and passion like last night, I’m fine with the outcome of the season. More changes are coming one way or another. Whoever is here when the dust settles needs to carry pride and character into the next chapter of the org. And that can be into the playoffs this year or training camp next season. |

Age give away- Rempe is the Rangers version of Harthorne Wingo. A fan Phenomenon that cant play. - Greschnergy#4
I knew Hawthrone Wingo, Rempe is no Wingo , He may have a bit more talent than that |

I have taken him to task as well. When it's earned, he should be called out, Doesn't diminish fact that I have been a huge Mika fan and still am. But his play was subpar. I call it the same way for all, when criticism is warranted, it will be written. TPC is pretty even keeled, even for Kreider, who is his bae |

Rempe didn’t have his best game, but he also just sat for 2 weeks and is trying to figure things out. I’d give him 10 games or so and see what he’s got. I think other players play with more confidence with him in the lineup; regardless if he’s been a punching bag in some of his fights. The other team definitively knows when he’s out there also.
Roobroeck could be a kid (based on his numbers vs Rempe in the AHL) that has a lot more talent while still adding good size to the lineup 6’7. Speaking of some of our bigger players, Edstrom has been very bland after a good start to the season. You don’t notice him in a bad way, but beginning of the season I noticed him a lot more in a good way. |

I agree that he has been lousy for an extended period but i dont agree that all of a sudden, his career is over and that he sucks and should be dumped. |

For those who have Optimum, I finally got thru the other day and they offered me 60 bucks off of my bill, I said no, that just covers the app which is terrible, they then gave me a 150 bill credit. Just be persistent and you will get it!!
I didnt watch the game of course but I saw the highlights, 2 PP goals and the winner on 3v3. Lately the PP has been scoring and the Rangers have been winning, tell me where you heard this before? |

Diff yesterday is they were the better team 5x5, the second half of the second period and all of the third. Markstrom kept the Devils in the game. The goals were on the PP but overall play, Rangers were better. |

I had written this earlier (probably last year). Mika and Kreider stopped forechecking. My conspiracy theory was that they were protecting their plus minus numbers. In addition, Mika, because he fell in love with CK tipping the puck in the net. he literally stopped shooting. Now we see him shooting again and going into the corners and even driving to the net and it has been noticeable. He still has a ways to get back to where he was, but I see it happening sooner than later as now its confidence related as he is playing like the player we all fell in love with- hey what do I know, I am just a fan and a season ticket holder for more than 10 years. |

I agree, to a point. I thought AdEd played hesitantly last night. Any hesitant player in the NHL is noticeable in a negative way. But, overall this season he has been reliable and responsible. I do see what you're talking about, but I feel it's only been a couple of games.
Roobroeck would be a nice "little" internal add if he keeps it up! |

Mika has been playing like deep fried ass cheeks for 95% of the season. Disinterested and just slow. He deserved all of the criticism leveled his way. He looked like the Mika of old, maybe at like 80%, for the past 2-3 games, but I'm going to need to see this effort and confidence level for at least half of the amount of time he has sucked this year to feel completely wrong about him. I still can't help but think these few games are his death throes.
With all that said
Literally nothing would make me happier about this team than being wrong about Mika. Because if he's as done as he seemed and as i think he is, we are screwed for years to come. Again, I am not rooting for him to suck. |

Beginning of the season it seemed like he was throwing the body a lot more, seemed to be a little quicker to pucks etc. Maybe the season is catching up to him a bit. Like I said, he hasn’t been bad, but was a lot more noticeable in a good way earlier in the season. |

My assessment of Edstrom last night is that he was probably off because Rempe is such a liability (to be kind to Rempe, who i root for) and they kept getting caught out there against Hughes |

So they stopped forechecking to protect their plus/minus numbers?? God forbid they score to increase their plus/minus or do you think they were looking for it to go down more?? Im going to assume they didnt want their plus minus to increase thats why Mika has been so terrible at coverage in his own end and loves to just turn the puck over on lazy plays.
Mika fell in love with CK20 tipping the puck, so he stops shooting. So if he loves him tipping the puck, does he only like to watch him tip the puck only when other players shoot it??? Is that whet you are saying? Mika just likes to watch?
Yes you have figured Mika out, you are a genius!!!! |
