Would we be happy if Miller finally turns into a decade long top 4 guy because he’s played with Borgen? They’ve played well together. I think it’s important that they figure him out for the long haul if they’re keeping him. This was a reason for this trade too imo, to get him a better version of Trouba. And I don’t mean just laying players out with checks
All I hear is get Fox a better partner, well the same applies to Miller imo

Miller has looked quite a bit better, can't really argue that. But the whole team is just starting to look better. I don't mind if Borgen sticks around for the right price. I do think Lindgren needs to get swapped out for a bigger quick footed D Man. Borgen and Miller are decently sized and Miller has shown an ability to hit at times, just needs to do it all the time. Schneider with another slightly bigger lefty would be good too.

I think this D would be pretty good next season
Provorov Fox
Miller Borgen
Urho Schneider
Mancini
And it’s not some outlandish thing I normally come up with and affordable
Fox will do this and then will you be happy - picklerick
I find it hard to believe the masses think he’s playing like a 9.5 million dollar guy and just simply assume things will change if certain things happen. I just don’t buy it. I think he’s damaged now unfortunately. They have to reduce his PK time at the very least. There is no reason for him to be doing it. Like do we really need him blocking slap shots? No we don’t lol

I wouldn’t call one injury damage. Lindgren sure he’s has about 23 different ones. Why would he not bounce back? And I think everyone agrees he isn’t playing to his norm. But again who is this season?

You are all over the map with this stuff teej. Fox has already been and will continue to be a top defenseman in the league, there's no hypothetical thing that needs to happen to get him there. But you're on board with something changing for Miller (William Borgen?!!?)

Miller might be the trickiest player to trade. Young with tools but inconsistent and may want a raise. Is he better in a smaller market?
Had to take personal time off last season. If he brought back a legit first pair shutdown you def move him

It's important to me that you understand I'm engaging you on this in good faith. Just trying to understand how you can have such cognitive dissonance regarding Fox and Miller

Just answer the question:
Is it wise for our 9.5 million dollar PP QB to be blocking shots on the PK for the next 4-5-6 years? Because he can’t contain anyone in front of the net because of his size that’s for sure

IDK, he's a good PK'er? He doesn't get hurt outside of getting cheapshotted knee on knee. Should Cale Makar play on the PK?
Never happening 😔 the Kakko pt by pt bulletin board is here every night, get ready lol
If Borgen and Miller turn into a pair they can rely on it will be a good deal. But some will never get over we traded a 2OA pick who was never going to play like a 2OA pick
Bottom line is we have a better defense corp team today then we did before, with Borgen
This 3rd rd pick we got in the deal will be a HoFer - Slimtj100
I believe I put up an update. And I might again sometime. But, for me it's not about bashing Drury or the trade, it's about touting Kakko's success!! It's more in the face of those who called him a bust. That is the main reason I'd love to see him make the best of his move.

That's not even the discussion you were having. You are saying he's overpaid and on the decline. PK or not. - picklerick
I’m saying he isn’t playing like 9.5 guy because he’s already breaking down, because why??? Tooooooooooo much ice time. Ding ding!! On a bad knee no less
How can you literally watch every game and think he’s the same player as say two years ago?
So by default he’s playing like he’s overpaid. It may not be his fault necessarily. Like I genuinely feel bad for him, the Rangers may be abusing him

Agree to disagree outside of, yes, he is having a slightly down year. Slightly down years for him are apparently top 10 in the league instead of top 3.
