Maybe trading for Miller helps take the weight of Mika's shoulders. I dont know. Ive been open about not being the biggest fan of Chytil's. The thing that always bothered me about him is being weak defensively, not strong on the puck, not at all physical for his size and his insistence to play center even though I believe he would be better on the wing. I like that hes a strong skater and has that shoot first mentality but when I think of a 3C I think of guys who are strong in the areas Chytil isnt. Unfortunately for Chytil, the way the team is built, there is a huge impasse for his growth because hes probably better off playing in an offensive 2C position but he will be stuck behind Trocheck and Zib. Getting older is definitely not what I want this team to do, but a move like this means Drury still wants to press for the playoffs.

I repeat...

I don't want JT Miller on the NYR. I don't care who goes the other way

Hate the fact that these names keep getting leaked without a trade being made. Tough on the players to be motivated. Its Trouba all over again

That’s a good call out. This never used to happen with the Rangers. There’s always been speculation, but never specific players being named as they have been. What’s changed?

We'll see who from the front office gets fired next. Maybe Jim Ramsey wasn't the issue..

Interesting, I never heard that about Ramsey. I have a feeling it’s one of the agents.

Listen, we don’t agree, on anything. But if we were trying to aquire a gritty LHD with 40+ games of playoff experience, has been a part of a top 4 pairing the past 5 years that’s having a down year, but so is the rest of the team, we’d only be giving up a 3rd? 4th? Come on. Think about it. I’d be so bold to say it will be a 2nd+ maybe a prospect or later draft pick with it.

This.
Got me thinking about Kevin Hayes as the last solid 3C we had. Also glad we didn't overpay to keep him.

Make Zib the 3c. I don’t care about salaries. He’s a -25, BY FAR the worst on the team.
