You know what it has taught me? As a leaf fan we should have gratitude for the streak of years of playoff appearances. It truly blows that they can't get past the first round and do something but it's nice that the leafs are consistently in the playoffs and have a chance at winning.

I played back to back hockey games tonight at 9 and 10 pm.

Managed to not let anyone tell me the score and came home to watch the game on PVR while I washed my hockey gitch.

What a (frank)ing waste of PVR space and time jesus.

Watching this game gave me flash backs to the pathetic playoff performance against the CBJ good god.

Hildabeast was Hildabad.

The big boys (all of them) simply didn't get it done and that isn't good enough, yes Elvis was good/great but with the $'s the Leafs have up front on offence if they aren't going to score it's not good enough.

Marner was pedestrian at best, Willy should have had 2 goals but he did have a great assist and play on that assist, Matthews with one but should have had more and the PP sucked balls.

Reaves actually was the only bright spot for me, good scrap, good hustle and nearly got a goal.

They miss JT way more than many thought they would, he is a solidified top shelf 2nd line C and they need him + an upgrade on 3rd line C. Jonny Towes maybe as 3C?

That wasn't a very impressive showing, it's one game so it is what it is and we could perhaps just kinda say they got goalied (which they did) but Hildabeast isn't instilling a lot of confidence in me, might be time to bring back Murray?

Reaves fight was more proof he serves no purpose. The staged, goons fighting for no reason is the stupidest type of fight in hockey.

Toews, if he even can manage to come back, is going to the Jets or any team he has a strong connection with like Kane in Detroit. I don't see him being pulled to Toronto for any good reason.

100% have to get Murray back into the mix. He's not going to come in and pitch 3 shutouts in a row but he's a way more experienced, more calming guy to have in this situation. His AHL numbers are strong, he's healthy and he has a history of fantastic play. Hildeby might have size and talent for the future, but for right now, the Hildbey experiment should be over.

Would boston deal him to Toronto without trying to get an overpayment? I doubt it.
I feel like every deal with Boston, we lose. Kessel was good but we still lost that deal.
