I'm just curious if Nighty can come up with a roster for us Sans Miller...

Should be fun...

I really hope JR/PA finally realize this team isn't built properly. They're just as responsible as the players for providing results. Hopefully not 8 years leeway either!

Tocchet: Guys stopped skating, guys started doing fancy plays, body language came back, u just can't do that. Winners don't do that. You don't slam gates. We're up 2-1 and some1 misses an empty net. Ok who cares? Why slam a gate?...I don't know if it's because of the noise or not.

Bullsh*t! These are high paid professional athletes!

Maybe they should start acting like fucking adults?

People pay good money to see these games!

Give me a break!

No shit. Can't believe some of the bullshit crap that comes out from the excuse makers on here. Pathetic

I’ve thought on it off & on. Not knowing the return or if other dominos fall leaves me mucking around with far too many rosters. What I have determined is to expect a big hole down the middle & its effect on the rush & the PP. We will be softer for sure & easier to match up against. The latter has already been a problem & won’t change. Cannot be a team of winger depth & poor top 2C’s put together.

I’d trade anyone on the team straight up for Olivier

Put that attitude onto the ice not lil hissy fit tantrums off the ice. Mentally weak instead of looking inward & getting after it on the ice. Unprofessional with a rudderless leadership group beyond Hughes.

Like Petey & his contract will age well.
Needs wingers to prop him up.
He’s injured. See Draisaitl ribs
Was forced to sign.
Miler is mean to him to effing play better.

I think it’s his toque that is the problem

Is Hughes a good leader? It is under his captain that this shmozzle has gone on.

I think Hughes is excellent at the leadership he does offer... which is throwing the team on his back on the ice etc... lead by example so to speak. On the other hand, I just don't think he commands respect from players like Miller. He has little control of situations like what's happening now.

He would greatly benefit from having personalities like Luke Schenn and Brad Richardson who held Miller accountable. I'm not saying bring those players back... just an example of the additional leadership types needed.

So that's how I see it. Hughes covers one aspect of leadership in spades... other aspects, not so much.

Ian Cole is a bigger loss than a lot of people are willing to admit.

I agree and mentioned it early season. He's a great example. He has a big reputation as a leader and glue guy. Team mates, coaches and GM's praise him for it.

I miss fighting. I loved a good bench clearing brawl back when hockey was violent.
