This team needs major surgery, it's almost reminiscent of what PA, and JR inherited from Dim Jim. The time to blow things up is on the off-season, trade your UFA's and acquire picks. Reconstruct the roster in the summer and hope that "everything goes right" next season. |

Unpopular opinion: if Allvin and Rutherford decide to blow up the team, you have to trade Quinn Hughes. What he could bring back would be worth more in the long run, plus he probably wouldn't stick around for a full/proper rebuild. - NewYorkNuck
What an absurd over-reaction |

At this point the only untouchables is Quinn and Tom Willander. If PA isn't listening on everyone else then I gave him far to much credit. |

Oh I'm not saying that's what I'd want them to do, just if they're going to start trading Miller, Petey, Boes, Demko, Garland, etc... you may as well hit on Hughes' peak value as those other trades aren't going to come to fruition for another 3 years at best. Then you'll have an older Hughes who may not want to stick around through or after that rebuild. |

The idea of rebuilding the team at all is ridiculous. Anyone can see the talent is there on the roster, plenty of people in and out of Vancouver were looking at this team in the fall and saying Van might have the best forward depth in the entire league. If the situation with Miller is untenable, you move him, play out the year, and patch the holes in the lineup in the summer. You don't rebuild a team when you have so many quality players in their mid 20s at every position.
I don't understand why anyone would be so eager to run back to the purgatory we just spent an entire decade in |

Personally I just think trading Miller, getting a 2C, and addressing the D is the cleanest path. But, if you believe what some of the media chatter has been, then Ruthy and Allvin aren't necessarily sold on the core of this team and might want to make larger changes. So if they do trade Miller AND Petey, that probably leads to Boeser going... at that point you're getting near to tear it all down territory. |

Keeping Hughes is a massive mistake. At the latest, he has to be moved next deadline for a haul. No way he is signing up for a another rebuild |

You can't say checked out when Pettersson is one of the only guys on the team working hard right now |

I can't see them trading both Miller and Petey. Boeser wants to re-sign in Van so unless you somehow get a haul for him next month I don't think he goes anywhere. The reactionary folks in the fanbase want to blow things up but don't seem to understand how insane the logistics of moving that many high caliber players would be. I mean FFS Allvin hasn't been able to make 1 trade for a top 4 D and he's been trying since at least September.
The boring result is usually the correct one, which is either you trade 1 guy, or you trade no one, ride it out, and try to fix things in the summer. |

There is zero chance they go scorched earth, it's not in the cards. At all. There will be players moved but it will be for established NHL guys with an emphasis on better defense and better balance in the forward group. |

If he is working hard right now that’s far more depressing. I’ve been hoping he doesn’t gaf and can turn it around when traded. |

Given what Boeser is asking, I don't see them re-signing him. Think he's gone at this TDL
I don't think it would be as hard to move that many players in the off season. In season is always harder to adjust. |

Everyone needs to relax, the team is only 33 pts back of Calgary. They just need time to shake off the rust from injuries. |

Everything is fine. It’s ok for Hughes to receive a head shot every game w zero response. Spineless p$ssies. The entire team. No more (frank)ing swedes |

This:
So many players are sucking right now - everyone is slumping.
DeBrusk - 3 goals in 19 games,
Heinen - 3 in 36
Suter - 0 in 23
Blugar - 1 in 28
Sherwood 2 in 17
Joshua- 2 in 24
Garland 3 in 25
PDG 1 in 16
Hogs 3 in 43
Sasson 2 in 22
Demko has been horrific.
Tocc is starting to resemble Travis Green - keeps making excuses that things need to change, but I'm not seeing any real changes? |
