They aren’t one of the younger teams. Not truly anyways. They also are one of the oldest with term to over 30 year old players. Or almost 30. You get an established 1c and a goalie and you might make playoffs with this roster. poop you MIGHT even win a round. But cup? Not even close.

I agree with you on this! We are younger but our youth unfortunately is mediocre. The Brinks and Farabees are nice players but aside from Michkov, we are a bunch of 2nd and 3rd line players at best.

Be really ballsy for Briere to attempt the Sanheim trade with TK this summer before the NTC kicks in. Cost certainty for a top 6 fwd with the cap rising. It would be a really creative move especially considering Foerster appears to be a long term fixture in the top 6. Of course, I know it will not happen. A creative GM would be interesting.

According to Bob Mckenzie mid season draft ranking has Ivan Ryabkin at 19

So there a possible number 1 center later in the draft
Beginning of the year he was top 5

Also if we picking say 14th then he will be available if Mckenzie is correct

Or a 1c yet knowing it’s extremely unlikely to trade for one or even more unlikely to sign one in free agency and only 1 real option (draft) and not doing everything to give best chance at it is maddening. The other parts or youth they have doesn’t even matter. At this point so what. Step 1 can’t even be accomplished.

First of All Coots is not being relied on. Hes here because he has a NMC and was signed long term by the previous regime. Theres nothing that can be done about it.

Laughton and Ristolainen could bioth be dealt as soon as this deadline. EJ is probably moved as well
