Shaffer had a shot but he's out the rest of the season with an injury. He's drawing comparisons to Makar, which I think are a stretch but hes at most 1 year away.
Misa and Hagens have a shot at making a team next year. Martone reminds me of Draisaitl, going to take a couple years for him to put it all together but when he does, watch out. I've got:
1. Shaffer
2. Martone
3. Misa
4. Hagens - MacPatty
Good info. Thanks!

My parents had to put down their dog Syd today. Named after Crosby of course. A pup in 2008. Talk about feeling old. - Grinder47
Sorry to hear that, one of the worst feelings. I've had to put 2 dogs down in my life, both were old, very sick, and we knew it was coming and it was still brutal. Cannot imagine how painful it'd be to lose your pet suddenly. |

4 point game for koivunen. Good vision and playmaking. He’s a feisty player too. Love him taunting the Lehigh player in the box after they scored. If he could make it to mid-6 Brandon tanev that would be incredible. - 10inchTerror
I do like the feistiness Koivunen is showing. I also see 3 of those points were on the PP. And that's what I always worry about with offensive players that don't project as top scorers in the NHL. Can they still do it when not on the PP? He's earning the right to get a look at some point though. Second among rookies in scoring.
Bennstrom has to be wondering if there's anything to do to earn a recall though. HT and an assist tonight. Even if Koivunen is showing well, some of that is Bennstrom having a great year. |

Thanks guys, it was time and he had a good life. My Dad said he’s not getting another dog until the Pens have someone worth while to name it after. |

Austin Watson lead the AHL in scoring for the better part of a season, Maroon finished top 3 2 years in a row. Maybe these players should diversify their skill set if they want a shot in the show. |

Talking about the AHL. Jarry did bad in the first game back. Then in normal Jarry fashion his second game and he let in a goal on the first shot. He played better though. |

Completely agree with you. If someone like Puljujarvi would learn how to kill penalties he'd stay in the lineup. Too many guys are scoring leaders all their lives but struggle to find a role in the NHL when they aren't a top PP guy anymore. |

I mean, I cant stand New Jersey, but if it meant that were able to get rid of Jarry then I am cool with it. |

Vancouver needs to get their poop together asap. They are falling right out of the mix for the last playoff spot. Alvin is looking a bit like Dubas, overplaying his hand and dragging out a situation that needs to be resolved.
He has to trade Miller yesterday. They are going to miss the playoffs with him based on their current play. Looking at their roster, I have no idea how Calgary has been able to keep it going all season. Props to Huska there, he should be getting some serious coach of the year consideration. |

They are probably trading Pettersson. I think Tocchet is getting some of the blame on this internally. JT I believe has been nixing trades. I think they will still be aggressive at the deadline. |

With Geno out for some time, I’m fine with Dubas using this as a pivot point to begin roster reconstruction.
I would rather us begin trading now so that we don’t have to force trades 5-6 trades at the deadline and maybe miss out on trading some pending UFAs. |

So basically don't do what Dubas did last year and focus just on Guentzel.
I don't know that any of the UFAs are getting much. DOC's value is down enough they may be don't even bother. Now if they want to move Rackell or Bunting there's a return to be had. Gryz is an interesting one since he's played better lately but is it worth it to them to trade their other top four LD for what he'll get. |
