Just about the dumbest pass you could ever make.

Unfortunately we are the only team fighting for a playoff spot that didn’t gain a point this weekend

that was pathetic at the end there.

borgan was playing great the whole game too.

would only happen to this franchise, sign a guy to an extension only to cost the team a point at the very end.

It was a bad pass but I don’t think he knew Makar just jumped out of the box. Some bad luck in there too

You have to be aware of the time left on the PP. that and Panarin giving up on the backcheck

your not on PP1, you just saw your D partner bomb into the zone on a rush, read the ice and what's going on. he just got on the damn ice how did he not know the clock?

i mean have some awareness out there. panarin stick in the air calling for it too.

just a calamity of errors/stupidity

You have to know time and situation. I said to my daughter with a little under a minute left that if they don’t score, you have to watch the player coming out of the box. That puck has to go deep, you can’t go easy to west near the blue line. Boom, that’s what happened. Turnover, 3 on 1, goal, game over

I think it’s foolish to mortgage the future in any way in pursuit of this season. Whatever Drury does needs to be with next season in mind. If they make the playoffs this season, great. If they think they can get JT Miller without giving up a young roster player, real prospect, or 1st round pick, fine. ZiB better be gone before next season in that case. But I think it’s delusional to aspire to win the cup right now when we’re not even in a playoff position heading into February

They fought to the end and lost on a boneheaded play. If the Caps could back into the playoffs last year, no reason why we couldnt. Now, does it help us moving forward? Im not sure. I think Id rather have the lottery pick.

Totally agree.

To think we are a legitimate cup contender just because we've rebounded from literal rock bottom, coinciding with our goalie playing great again, would be delusional.

I'd keep our bullets in the chamber for major changes in the offseason. Get Zib outta here if we want to win a cup

Yea it was an exciting game with a frustrating ending. We’re a long shot to make the playoffs. Bad business to add rentals and bad contracts at the expense of picks and prospects

This is definitely the year to fine tune what we got, trim the fat and come in guns blazing next year.

That last goal kills me.

Terrible decision by borgen with no awareness of Makar. Panarin potentially gassed but that effort is a joke. An example of why the rangers don’t compete hard at times. Lavi needs to not have the PP unit out the entire time.

They needed a point today

Before that play, they competed all game. I thought they were outplayed but kept coming. Gut-wrenching loss.

the canes game will show us a lot about this team.

They've been much better of late, they let one slip today (as awful as it was), can they bounce back?

Now Boston and TBL are the 2 wildcard teams since Ottawa won again. It’s not a pretty picture for us

For the most part the rangers had the better chances. Again Igor wasn’t great but rangers have to win those
