Yep, but didn't want him to walk for nothing. Necas isn't Rantanen, but he is signed and creates the cap space for Landeskog to come back, if he can, or add a Miller type 2lc.
Did they win the trade? No way. But Cap space and depth is what they need.

They gonna need to sign Makar in 2027 as well. Not gonna be cheap.

Suter has been doing a nice job of upping his trade value, as has Garland.

Am I reading that right, EP40 has four shots on goal?
- Pacificgem

Amazing as he has been pretty invisible out there.

Untrue, you must not be watching, he's come skating right through the slot a couple of times for quality scoring chances

Also battling netfront on the 2nd Garland goal

I'm watching, just no being impressed by his play so far. Not everybody can be Garland I guess.

Being unimpressed is very different than him being invisible. He's been involved all night

We both have our opinions. He did have a good chance on that shot.

Bad luck for D Petey. He was looking good on that shift before that.

NJ could use a RW with a shot. Siegenthler is a very steady D 6'2 218 and signed for a good number, 3.4m for another 3 years. Low event, Tanev style but only 27 and way less mileage. I would look at something like that. Saves cap space as well to look for scoring RW in the off-season.

Not bad but hold out for better. My $.02

Depending on Marky injury, maybe a Demko deal could pry Siegenthaler out. Their d is deep and he plays only a defensive role. For the cap hit, it's a money puck deal.

I don't mind Soucy on his off side. When we first signed him they were lauding his ability to do so.

Don’t see Demko going. Rough season finding his A game takes more patience imo

His D game has looked good. Invisible was overstated on my part. Just disappointed in the offensive result's.

Some Petey love from ex-nhl players, gotta love it.

Canucks must’ve paid them to say that to increase his trade value.

I don't mind him playing well defensively and having 7 shots on net but not scoring when the Canucks are up 3 goals going into the 3rd
