You forgot the other half of the equation which was Gilmour, Clark and Andreychuk scored in the playoffs with no problem. The Leafs could afford to have a line that did not provide supplementary scoring at that time.

Also, as nice as that 92-94 run was ultimately it was unsuccessful. I prefer to look at Cup winners or at worst finalists.

Unfortunately, our current core has problems scoring in the playoffs. That means our bottom-six guys have to chip in more than just 1 goal every 20 games.

Does that mean I expect Jarnkrok to score 10 playoff goals? Absolutely not. But, more like Zezel, who use to be a very effective scorer, we need guys who can contribute more than just sit in their own zone for 15 min a game.

Think of Cirelli as the best possible example. Scored 9 goals in the regular season but had 5 goals and 12 points in 23 playoff games when they most recently won the Cup. Obviously, we can't get Cirelli, but a guy who can score 3-5 goals and 10 playoff points is better than what Jarnkrok and Kampf have already proven they can't provide.

The only time the Leafs won a playoff round, Matthews was the only one to reach 5 and got bounced because there was no depth putting the puck in, including the core.

Kampf has no PP time and gets buried in the defensive zone. If you want him to score 5 goals in a playoff run you are clueless.

If anything Kampf has been good for scoring playoff goals as a 4C with zero PP time and D zone starts.

I heard through the Anne Murray and Bob MacKenzie podcast that Trudeau himself is rounding up white children and forcing them into crime sprees, peddling drugs, guns, zins, robox gift cards, illegally harvested beaver pelts, and potash (for some reason).

Yes, they absolutely do need to score more but we've seen them not do it year after year. That means something needs to change. And that something is way easier to do lower in the line-up than at the time.
