Played around while I was eating lunch today.... a team I would actually enjoy watching. Not a cup winner but definitely a playoff team, hopefully helps transition in the post Crosby/Malkin/Letang (and Marchand) years. Not included here is the top 5 pick we should be getting this season and any assets we might pick up for Pettersson & Gryzleck.

Sullivan wouldn’t play Olivier so DOCcoukd get his useless lifeless 13 minutes of ice time.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind it. I would like us to bring in Brad Marchand to be honest. I feel like he would definitely make Sid have some fun. I think we need to bring in a friend or two of his. Especially if this team still doesn't end up competing. I like what you did. Some grit to the lineup. I know it probably would never happen. I could see us shipping out Bunting, EK, and unfortunately Rakell this offseason.

I just threw something together quickly. If we are transitioning to a youth movement, you can't do what Chicago did to Bedard. You still need to have some talent. We also are severely lacking in "push back", which is why I'd be willing to pay Frederic and Olivier too much.

I'd love to see what Marchy and Sid could do together. He is past his prime but those two have trained together every off-season for like 10+ years... I bed they'd have some serious chemistry.

I'm perfectly fine trading Bunting and while I'd rather not trade Rack probably, you are probably right.

Saad on waivers. Too bad we can't trade Graves or Jarry for him.

Still could. This is their first shot at getting rid of him without having to pay or take anything back. If he passes, that is when a good negotiation could start. Our problem is that the two positions they need the least, G and LD are the positions we need to dump.

Wonder if they are making a play for Miller or Pettersson and just need some cap space? They aren't doing it for nothing.

Jarry and Graves contracts are essentially nuclear waste and Saad only has one more year.

I saw Armstrong on TV last night. He essentially said, we waived him because he sucks now and doesn't score.

Well there is that also... But is he worse than whoever they are bringing up from the minors? He would still slot in somewhere in the top 6 for the Pens with his current scoring rate. He is outscoring Glass, Hayes, Beauvillier, DOC and is scoring at a pace not too far behind our untradeable Tomasino.

He is paid too much money for what he brings but as a player, he wouldnt be a bad bottom 6 option for a playoff team. He has a full no trade clause, so Im going to stick to my guns and say he rejected a trade so they are going to dump him in the minors to force his hand.
