So they can draft another 3rd liner and now you have a complete 3rd line

Too lazy to backread.

Meh. Another loss. did not watch the whole game, was too tired.

But good for MAF, seems like a really good guy, in his last game in Montreal.

Looks like his team really wanted him to get that win.

And the Habs, too. apparently.

Frost and Farabee for Pelletier and Kuzmenko.

I wish I could tell you the point/bright side for the Flyers but I really can't.

I guess Pelletier can become an effective third line winger one day.

Maybe?

I am sure Torts is gonna love having Kuzmenko.....

It is the 7th round pick that makes one team a clear winner.

Well RHP was initially called up because Gallagher was very sick this weekend.

Maybe they just roll with 5 minutes of Pezzetta again but it's getting old fast.

The problem with this, other than playing Pezz, is that it (frank)s up the lines.

We had 4 lines rolling, playing decent minutes each, with some getting extra PP / PK time.

Having some players double shift to compensate is just not working.

For sure.

I'm not really certain what the idea of not having a young guy play a few games on the third line, if only to give him some experience.

I said it when Heineman got injured, I really thought Davidson would have looked good on the Habs 3rd/4th line.

Wasn't his last game supposed to be in Montreal this year? Or was it just against the Habs? Feel like there was some hype to that.

His last game in Montreal.

At least until the Habs and Wild meet in the Stanly Cup in a few months.

Yesterday's game was his last in Montreal.

Unless by some miracle of the gods Minnesota and Montreal play each other in the SCF.

I get they are throwing a bone to a loyal soldier in Pezz.

I guess having him, over a kid, sit out all those games as the 13th forward makes sense.

But the time to move on from him was a few years ago... fine to have around in an emergency, I guess, but not someone you really want to play regularly.

Feels like fake hype, but by all accounts he's one of the best people to ever lace them up and a consummate pro. His hilarious gaffs aside in the WJC and some of the playoffs, he's a first balloter by resume alone if not reputation.

At this point a Habs/Jets final wouldn't shock me

Interesting part of today's #NHL / #NHLPA memo to teams is that this isn't merely a projection of cap increases, but an agreement between the two parties.

2025-26
Upper Limit: $95.5m
Lower Limit: $70.6m

2026-27
Upper: $104m
Lower: $76.9m

2027-28
Upper: $113.5m
Lower: $83.9m

In other words, three seasons from now, the salary cap floor will be rising to a level that is approaching this season's ceiling. Massive increase for some teams.

The memo says two future seasons (2026-27 and 2027-28) are subject to "potential minor increases (up or down)."

with the Farm club so close, no it does not make sense...they should have brought a kid for 1 game here and there more often

Yup... he'd be another option.

You cannot tell me there isn't a guy in Laval that can contribute at least 10 minutes of decent hockey on the bottom 6 ffs.

I get it while they were on the road, but they have been at home (or close to home) for a couple of weeks now.

Seems strange.

Maybe they just want Laval to be stable and succeed as a group, as well.

Who knows.

Still placing bets on it being a thank you to Pezz for being a loyal soldier / low maintenance 13th forward, more than anything.

Eklund's NHL Trade, Free Agent Rumors
@Eklund
Kuzmenko knows Michkov well and scored 39 goals two years ago playing with Elias Pettersson who is available. The flyers just opened up a lot of forward moving cap space.
Just saying… This is not from sources. This is just my own speculation, knowing a lot of people involved in this. And the way they think.

i was watching him have a back and forth with a poster yesterday and at one point he told the poster "you have no basis in saying that" and it was the biggest lack of self awareness i've seen in a month or so.
