yeah, that's what I'm saying, I really doubt Evans' contract would become a cap anchor and mess up your whole salary structure. letting him walk for a difference of 500K for example would be silly, the team and his agent surely aren't worlds apart about this.

Never takes a shift off, night in and night out, plays his role very well, and chips a few in here and there.

I hope they sign him, a year or two extra won't make any difference, pretty sure they know what they're getting..

You always need a couple of guys like that on your team that won't score a ton but will give you huge defensive minutes especially on the PK.

That second line has not been consistent all season 5v5 (with or without Laine).
