I actually looked it up, never seen that kind of truck around here before, I think we only use salt and gravel to de-ice the roads.

they actually did it overnight last night. they don't usually do it so far in advance but it leaves stripes on the roads so you can tell when they did it and the stripes were there when i was driving in this morning.

if i listen carefully, sometime in the middle of the night i will hear rock salt being thrown at my front door and porch. i've never seen the people but i've heard the rock salt being thrown and i even heard their voices out there one time. i picture them as little elves.

also, with some of these brine trucks, the udders (i'm gonna call them udders) move back and forth as the truck drives so it leaves a cool pattern on the road instead of just stripes.
