Take it for what it is, but I've read from some Sabres fans that they'd rather trade Power away than Byram.
- NewYorkNuck

Power reminds me more of Erik Johnson he's gonna be around forever and have a great career. Byram appears a bit more fragile but has huge upside (as does power) i like both

I'll admit, it only took him until his sixth season and second contract at 50% discount until he proved me wrong for a few games.

What really struck me going into this year is that he has now played more games as a Canuck than he did for any other franchise. It feels like he was in Buf/Win forever and yet we've had him the longest

He's in the Leafs thread, telling them that everyone on the Canucks loves him.

No offense but when it comes to Hockey, I'll take the opinion of the guy with over 1100 NHL games played, 600 Coached and a Cup ring, over some guys on a random blog who can probably barely skate. Seems Tocchet agrees with my assessment. Which is fine by me. Everyone else can suck it.

Tocchet and Foote changed his game around. Before that he was a slightly better Juulsen

Which is why they resigned him over Zadorov.

Apparently Zadorov was offered the exact contract he wanted and chose Boston anyways.

I'm good with that. This fanbase would have soured on him eventually. I like the Myers Hughes pairing because there's no way in hell anyone is gonna take liberties with Hughes without consequence with Myers around.

This fan base has soured on every single person on the roster at some point outside of Hughes (so far). I don't think the fan base is a good indicator of anything

Reuby.

But yeah, like I said, I'll weigh Tocchet's opinion moreso because of this. A lot of blind bias gets hurled around the team otherwise.

I don't think Reuby is even a fan of this team, so he doesn't count.

Ya, Myers is fine. I haven't truly complained about him for the past couple seasons. His pay is in line with what he brings. Just keeping the joke running

Same. Honestly expected someone else besides you to take the bait.

Biggest difference I see in the team over the last 3 wins is that the forwards are coming back deeper in the Dzone to help in outnumbered plays. They're also holding their position better all around the ice. This is meaning better breakouts. More outlets for the D. And more importantly less dump ins. The entire D corps has benefitted.

Yes, thank fucking christ.

They're also standing up at the opposing blue line more, not letting opponents get through the neutral zone cleanly.

For sure. D is more confident pinching because the forwards are back covering. There were some horrible looking pinches earlier in the season because the forwards weren't reading our D very well. Much better the last few games.

Agreed. This was one of main reasons why I was barely watching this season.

BTW, Karlsson had a nice game last night, he was a presence around the net,won a few board battles and was noticeable defensively. Good on the kid.

How is that for some rays of sunshine?

Less icetime and responsibility look good on him, I have to admit the panic dumps have really improved.
